Monday - Sunny, then cloudy. Very rainy at night.
A nice day. I went to bed late last night and managed to wake up my husband in the process. Sigh. Then, an hour later, my stupid cell phone started beeping to tell me that it was running out of power. It woke both of us up. Grr. I had to get up and put it on the charger overnight.
When my alarm went off this morning I couldn’t find the cell phone to turn it off, so I had to get up and go to the living room. Oh well, I was up now! I stayed up for a change. I did plan to go back to bed, but never did.
I checked my email group, took a shower and had a relaxing day in the apartment. I watched the weekend’s TV that I’d taped, although much of it I had already seen because of F going to bed early on Saturday night.
In the later part of the afternoon I went into the apartment buildings common area and did the sweeping. It is our month for doing it. Last month our neighbours didn’t bother. I know that F went out and did it at least once! I swept out the floor and then I did a little weeding in the un-flower bed outside. A couple of our neighbours actually saw me.
F came home around 6 and I started dinner when he arrived. I first washed the lettuce (I really hate that job!) and then cut up the cucumber. Recently the grocery store has been selling young lettuce leaves in a bag with a cucumber. It makes a nice salad with our meal. Then, I started on the entree part of the meal. I was using a cook in the bag mix that I bought from the store a few weeks ago. The bag in the box had the sauce in it, I just had to add some negi and pork. I did that and then got out of the kitchen so F could do his bit. Tonight he made miso soup with spinach and it was nice. When he was nearly ready, I microwaved the bag. So easy!
After dinner he did the dishes and then I suggested watching a movie. I noticed earlier that Grosse Pointe Blank was on tonight on a station we don’t get, but, I had bought the dvd in Canada when I was home last. F was okay with it, so we watched the movie and had some cold tea and tea poundcake. It was a little dry, but almost at the expiry date, so our fault completely!
I did quite a bit of crochet tonight both before the movie and during it. I started the fancy edging on the shawl. I left off on row two of the edging, so I’ve a way to go yet. Still, I’m really enjoying it.
The movie was fun to watch again, although it is a tad violent. F liked it, which is a good thing. He managed quite well without subtitles too. Yay for him.
Later on, he took his bath and when he came back I suggested having some broiled grapefruit, so I made that. We each had a half and it was very nice. Brown sugar would have been nicer, or more sugar, but all in all, it was quite good.
F has now gone to bed and I really should go soon as I have a busy day tomorrow and I need to be at my best. I’m wondering if I should bother taking my crochet to work with me or not. I did on Saturday and had more free time, but didn’t do any. So, probably not.
Anyway, I should be back tomorrow night. Have a good night. Keep well!
