Friday - Hot and sunny.

I didn’t sleep well last night. I went to bed a bit late and couldn’t sleep for a while. I was hot. After a while a stupid bird outside started making a really loud noise and that kept me awake. Then, when F got up this morning, he started putting away pots and pans and of course he was incredibly loud. Gah.

I did get up today, at a reasonably decent time and I stayed up. I also did quite a lot.

I sprayed the hinges on one of our doors with some WD40 today. The door has been squeaking for quite a while and driving me nuts. This morning F thought that the door was an earthquake alarm. Yikes!

I finally put away my overnight bag. It’s been sitting in the way for the last couple of months. I also put the bag of clothes to be chucked out in a garbage bag and took them out of my room.

And, tah dah! I did some laundry. Not all of it, but a couple of loads. Whew. I was starting to run out of clothes. Well, not really.

I had a quiet day at home apart from all of this. I was going to go out today, but I never got around to it. I knew F would be late, I just didn’t know how late.

He didn’t roll into our apartment until 7:00 pm tonight. He didn’t want to go out and just get salad for the stew leftovers, he wanted a meal. Grrr. So, we went to an izakaya for a change, and had a lot of different things. It was quite nice, and not as busy as usual. After dinner, we did hit the grocery store. We’ll have stew for lunch tomorrow instead of going to the restaurant. Yay for us.

We watched Glee and Desperate Housewives, which was really great. Tonight was the episode with the plane crash on Wisteria Lane. What a place to live! I did some crochet and it was relaxing. I’ve almost got the pattern down. I still need the reference sheet a bit, but I’m getting better at it.

All day, and even this evening, my computer has been making the most dreadful noise. F offered to take me to Sendai to get the Mac shop to have a look at it, but we can’t find a hotel to stay in overnight. I’ll try and nurse it along until next week. We might be able to go there then.

Anyway, that’s it for me. If I suddenly disappear, you’ll know that my computer has bitten the dust. Hopefully, you’ll see me tomorrow night. Bye!

Helen,
If you want to stay at a reasonable hotel in Sendai City, I suggest this. My husband and I stayed there and found it rather descent and affordable, especially for two nights.
We walked around the area and I recall seeing the Mac store as well, which wasn't too terribly far. Here is the link:

Thanks! I have a "go-to" hotel that I usually stay in, but it's not close to the Mac Store. I'll have a look at the link.

Thanks for commenting.
