Thursday - Hot and sunny. Humid for my added displeasure.
An okay day today really.
For the last two days someone has been calling our apartment at 10:00am and then hanging up when the answering machine answers. It is extremely annoying and I wish they’d just leave a message. Or fax us.
I woke up this morning, pulled the fan into the bedroom and risked fan death but was happily nice and cool.
I had to rush through things a bit today as I needed to be at the school a tad early today. I didn’t strictly have to be there, but I have realised that after biking to the school in the heat, I tend to sweat for a good 30 minutes or so and I have to dry my hair, so I’d just as soon arrive early and not have to rush at the last minute.
I had a meeting and then an hour later a class. The class went well enough, I have to do some off internet work for the student soon.
After my class finished, I washed the dishes and then called F. He picked me up and we went to New York, New York to have dinner. It was quite nice really. We both had the same thing, grilled chicken with herb butter and keema curry doria.
We got home just as Pillars of the Earth started. It was great tonight and it was especially nice to see all the baddies get their comeuppances too. Yay. At the very end, they showed the real live cathedral today and it is beautiful. Still a work of art. (And yes, I realise that this was a work of fiction.)
F went to bed early, even though he doesn’t have to go to work quite as early tomorrow. He has some errand to run for work in the morning. Yay for him. I’ll likely be sleeping until my alarms almost wake me up.
The cacophony of the cicadas outside is driving me bonkers. They are so loud and they never seem to stop. They go all day too. We are in an area with quite a lot of trees and other vegetation, so we don’t get much peace from them.
Anyway, that’s it for me. Tomorrow I have an appointment at my school in the afternoon, and then I’ll probably come home myself via some shops. I’m looking forward to it.
Got to go. Night!
