Tuesday - Rainy with some clear times
An okay day today. I got up this morning and showered, made the bed and did my computer things in the morning. I even had some yogurt for breakfast too.
I re-watched The Invention of Lying. I liked it, but I wouldn’t recommend it to everyone. Ricky Gervais has a very wry sense of humour. It suits me just fine, but it is not for everyone. I cooked lunch for myself. Seems like the first time in ages. I had a cheese omelette, sausages and a couple of English Muffins. Yum.
I headed out on my bike to go to work. I didn’t wear a jacket and I didn’t wear my rain cape, although I did take it. I didn’t need it, but there was a little bit of rain along the way.
My student was a few minutes late, but we had a pretty good class. After class she left and I did some other work. I did my paperwork and read 3 newspapers. Wow! I was going to leave and go to the craft store on the way home. I even got my shoes on and was outside the school, when I realised it was raining quite heavily. I didn’t want to bike home in the rain. I went back into the school and did a couple more chores that I had been putting off. After that, I sent F a C-mail to see if he was home or working. He called me back soon after and then came to get me.
We had a cheap and cheerful dinner at Coco Ichibanya, the curry place. I had chicken and summer vegetables with cheese, F had the special shrimp curry that’s on now. Mine was good, he said his was too.
After dinner we came home. I really wanted to watch Sherlock tonight since I’d missed it last night. I did watch and thought it was a neat idea with good actors. I’ll try and watch it again tomorrow night. Try!
Took a break from TV for a bit and then F put it on. He does this thing where he turns it on and watches it just for background noise. I do it during the day sometimes, but only when I’m alone.
We watched Undercover Boss again tonight. It was about the boss from White Castle. I don’t know if we have them in Canada. It was interesting. I did think about what would happen on the show if he caught someone doing something really really bad…would they show it? If it was damaging for the company, I bet they wouldn’t or the TV producers wouldn’t get more execs for their show.
I did a row and a half of crochet tonight. It felt like a long time without a hook in my hand. Nice to have it back. I’ve almost made up the bit I had to frog.
And that was my day. F watched some kickboxing stuff, but he almost deserved it! He’s having a bad time with the weather and his back.
Tomorrow, no plans, except I do have to start work on my next movie column. I think I have a topic…fingers crossed.
Got to go! Night.

I'm curious about The Invention of Lying because I love Ricky Gervais, but I hate his show The Office. I guess I should probably take the plunge and just watch it though.
I also saw that Undercover Boss. It's an interesting show, interesting premise, but I don't like the "reveal" much. So contrived.
I liked The Invention of Lying but it isn't a laugh riot or anything. It's quite snarky, just like me!
I realised that the show couldn't broadcast any huge errors that employees make, so have been thinking that it is contrived. Still, it's fun to watch execs making lots of mistakes on the job!
Thanks for visiting.
