Monday - Sunny and warm
An okay day. I got up at a reasonable time today and vegged for a while. I was late making the bed and getting dressed but I didn’t have any plans so it didn’t matter much.
I wrote a couple of cards for Postcrossing too. One is going to Russia, the other to Brazil. I’m excited as it is my first one to the southern hemisphere.
I was a bit surprised when F showed up at lunchtime. He came with sushi, which he ate before leaving again. We did talk, but only a little.
In the afternoon I watched some of Anna and the King. I quite liked this version with Chow Yun Fat and Jodie Foster. Through my quick trip to IMDb I discovered that the boy who plays Anna’s son is Tom Felton, who is perhaps better known as Draco Malfoy! I thought he looked familiar.
Around 3 pm I went out. I mailed the postcards, not at my usual post office, but at the other branch, then I went on my way. Today I didn’t go to the mall, I went somewhere my hubs doesn’t really want me to go. I went to the shopping centre, looked at the wool department, but they are nearly out of stuff, then I went to the hundred yen shop and got a few things, and then I had a late lunch at the McDonald there. I read my book for a while and then came home.
F came home a few minutes after I did. He was in a better mood, took a bath early on as he’d been working outside today and needed it. I had a wee chat with him and things are much better now. Yay.
We went out for dinner to Coco Ichibanya Curry. I had the chicken curry with spinach tonight and F had pork cutlet curry. We both had dessert tonight. It was salt vanilla ice cream. Basically, just vanilla ice cream and they gave us two salt shakers with different types of salt in them to put on the ice cream. I honestly didn’t know if I’d like it, but I really did. The salt and the sweet balanced each other and added something.
After dinner we went to the nearby grocery store for a few things I was a bit disappointed that they didn’t have spaghetti squash, but maybe it was too early in the year or perhaps the farmer didn’t grow any this year?
We came home and F watched boxing for a while before putting on The Great Escape. Well, it’s one of those movies that just sucks you in with how ingenious it is and I ended up watching it too. In fact, I went over to the couch and finished up my crochet while I was watching it, so I’m glad it was on.
F went to bed when it was over and I think I’ll go soon too. It’s late now and I have a busy afternoon tomorrow.
That’s it for me. I’ll be back tomorrow night if all is well. Night.
