Tuesday - Warm and sunny
An interesting day.
I overslept this morning. I was quite shocked. I’ve been good about getting up a bit earlier, but today when I fully dragged myself awake I was surprised how late it was. And I had an early-ish class today too, so I really didn’t plan to sleep in. Sigh.
I got up, showered, made the bed, that kind of thing. I got on with my day and then made my lunch before work. I was watching Good Morning Vietnam on NHK too. I haven’t really seen that movie since it came out. I’m not a fan of Robin Williams, but parts of the movie were quite funny.
I took off for work and got the school set up for the day’s classes.
My first student was a couple of minutes late, but we got down to business after she had a look at my holiday pictures. After her class we discussed a few things, including the ETJ Expo next month.
My next student couldn’t come, but her excuse was a new one! She didn’t have a vehicle. Usually she has her own car, but a family member was probably using it today, so she had no way of getting to my school. We scheduled another lesson for later in the week and then I was free for the afternoon.
I read the newspapers and then I did a bit of work on a craft project. I called F and he came to pick me up. We were going to go to one restaurant, but I noticed that our local Gusto has reopened, so we went there. It was quite busy and all of the staff was either new, or just different from usual, so it was interesting to be there. I had one of their specials, chicken in a porcini mushroom sauce. It was very good. Really! I quite enjoyed it. F had some Japanese food including natto. (Shudder)
We skipped going to the grocery store because F barely had enough money on him to cover dinner (I would have ponied up if he hadn’t!) I think the plan at the moment is for us to do a quick race to the store when F finishes work tomorrow night. I have some fresh pasta in the fridge, so we’ll have that with some yummy sauce from Yamaya and probably a salad and maybe something else too.
We had a quiet night in tonight. We discovered that F had received a postcard tonight from Canada. It was a bit funny because the sender asked him in all innocence if he’d been to Canada. He’s been there a few times now since we got married, so he was able to tell her that he had because his wife was from Canada. He didn’t tell her that I’m from Edmonton because I thought the postal code was from Calgary!
At 11:30 I turned on the TV and watched Undercover Boss. Tonight it was all about the boss of a floral company and was rather interesting. I made some popcorn too for the first time in ages. F cut up a nashi and we had a nice late night feast. After the show there was a Bjork concert on. It was on in the background and was a tad odd. I didn’t hate it the way I thought I would, but I’m not sure I’d pay to see her in concert.
Anyway, that’s about it for me. Tomorrow I’m off work, so I could either go and get my hair cut (which actually sounds like a good plan) or just go out for tea in the afternoon. Heck, if I’m organised, I might do both.
Got to go. Night!

I'm glad someone else doesn't like Robin Williams! He creeps me out.
I am loving your Shelfari Shelf. I keep adding your books to me TBR list!
Oh, thank you re the Shelfari Shelf. I'm never sure if anyone is looking at it. If you are interested in any of the books, let me know. I may have borrowed some of them, but if they're mine, I usually lend them!
There are a few actors that I actively avoid, Robin Williams was one of them. The other major one is Jack Nicholson. I just don't get why he's so popular!
