Friday - Sunny and gorgeous. Lovely day.

I got up fairly early today and turned on the TV. I watched last week’s The Cape and then ended up watching most of the third part of Lord of the Rings. I enjoyed the latter quite a bit.

I had a quiet day for the most part. I wrote up a postcard and sent it off on its way to the Netherlands, and made a quick trip to the bank as well. I needed to get a new passbook and I had to ask to get a new cover for it. Come on lady, I’ve had the other one for a long time and it isn’t in good condition! She gave me one, but I was surprised. We used to hand those out to customers all the time at my bank.

I came home again and watched American Idol. It was interesting. I think the judges were more critical than I had heard. Nobody is as critical as Simon however!

When F came home I was in a tizzy. Somehow I have managed to lose my wedding ring. I have my engagement ring, but the wedding ring must have fallen off my computer desk and I can’t find it. I’ve looked under the desk (and cleaned a bunch of garbage out). I hope it’ll turn up soon. It’s not my favourite ring, but I do treasure it.

Dinner tonight was the same as last night, except I doctored the soup a little bit. I added some curry powder and some cream cheese while I was heating them up. F did the gyoza again and we had a lovely dinner. The soup was even more amazing tonight, and the gyoza were good too.

We spent a quiet evening together. I did some packing and then at 11 watched my drama on NHK. I enjoyed it.

I had a good day, I packed, typed up and submitted my movie column, got a new passbook, but I lost my ring. WAH. Where is it?

Please don’t miss me too much, I’m going to be away for a couple of nights while I attend the Teacher’s Expo in Sendai. It should be good, as long as the earth doesn’t move. Wish us all luck with that. Night!

PS…does anyone else think it is a bit funny that I watched LOTR in the morning and now I’m whining about losing my ring? Did Gollum take it?
