Wednesday - Cloudy and rainy, warmer
An okay day. I stayed up late last night and of course slept in a bit today. I had lots of time though so it wasn’t a big deal.
During the day I watched some movies on the WOWOW movie channel. My favourite was Up In The Air. It is a good movie.
In the afternoon I went out to S-Mall. I just wanted to get out of the house. I mailed off a postcard to The Netherlands as well. At the mall, I had a tea and a sandwich at Doutors and then checked out the grocery store for batteries for my bike’s light. They’re a little weak at the moment.
I came home just after 5 pm. It had just started to drizzle as I left the mall, but it wasn’t bad. I got home without getting very wet.
F came home around 6 and found me watching the end of Alice in Wonderland and cutting up milk cartons. It’s amazing how much milk we go through, consider how I rarely drink it.
After a bit, I started cooking dinner. Tonight we had couscous, ginger pork, salad and kabocha. It was all quite nice. F did the dishes. We really just had a quiet evening. F is not doing well with the change in the weather. He’s achy and a bit grouchy, although he’ll never admit it.
At 11 I watched Grey’s Anatomy and then a documentary about designer Paul Smith. He wasn’t a prima donna, at least not on the show. I was rather impressed.
Anyway, that really is my day. It was okay, nothing special. Tomorrow I’m at work a bit early so I won’t have a lot of computer time. Poor me! Night.

I've met Paul Smith! Long ago when I lived in Kyoto and Sam worked for an event planning company that was in charge of a party for the opening of a new Paul Smith boutique. We talked to him for a couple of minutes before the guests arrived and he was extremely nice. I was moronically star-struck even though I hadn't even heard of Paul Smith before I met Sam, who had always been a big fan of his clothes.
In fact, the first time I saw Sam he was wearing a Paul Smith suit.
Of course these clothes are expensive, so for many years Sam didn't shop there, but this summer he purchased two shirts and a suit on sale, but they're all cut so small that he regrets it. He's not in any stretch of the imagination overweight, and it's not like his muscles are bulging or anything, but I guess the youngs who are the usual Paul Smith customers like tight clothes and are really skinny. Makes Sam feel old. Give up, I say, you are not cool anymore. Sorry, Paul.
That's cool that you've met him!
I think most designer clothes are a little small aren't they? I wouldn't know from personal experience though! I don't think I own anything by a "name" designer, and that's the way I like it!
Thanks for visiting :-)
