Friday - Remembrance Day/Nigel Tufnel Day

Sunny with showers

A good day.

I slept late a bit today, but no matter. I had no plans!

I got up and noticed that F’s cell phone was still in its charger. I knew I’d be getting a visitor, and sure enough, he came back. It was fine though. He came and left to get back to work quite quickly.

I decided to email my student and was just about to hit send when my cell rang. It was the same student, wanting to book for tomorrow. Yay!

I wrote a couple of postcards for Postcrossing. These ones are going to the US and Germany. I put stamps on them and then biked off to the mailbox outside the post office to mail them.

I came home and a little while later, F came home from work. He was as tired as ever and hungry to boot. He let it be known that he’d like dinner soon, so I started to get things ready. I asked him about cooking the fish and instead of telling me how to do it, was going to do it right then and there. I explained that I wanted him to tell me how and I’d do it. He refused, so I figured it out for myself.

I cooked pasta, heated the sauce, washed the tomatoes and cooked the fish. The consensus was that I didn’t quite cook it long enough, but I think it was mostly cooked! I liked it, F not so much. Dinner was good except for that.

F did dishes and we had a quiet evening in. I watched The Good Wife at 11 and did a bit of my crochet. It’s going very well and I am finally on the last row. Yes! The only thing is that it is going to take forever, but will look very nice when it’s done! The programme was good too!

And that’s about it for my day. It was terribly quiet. I did vacuum part of the apartment, but as I still haven’t found my ring, am a bit scared to do it thoroughly! Talk to you tomorrow. Night!
