Thursday - Cold and snowy

An okay day. I woke up first when I got a phone call from my husband. He wasn’t trying to phone me, his phone just decided that I needed to wake up then! I did get back to sleep, but it put me off my routine a bit.

I got up this morning, read the paper and in fact didn’t go on the computer until after 11am. I finally did, and then I showered. I had a quiet day at home…I even went back to sleep for a bit. In bed and everything. I was so tired.

When I got up I had some brunch and watched Valentine’s Day. I had taped it before the New Year. It was okay…glad I didn’t pay to see it at the theatre.

Around 5 pm I went outside the apartment. I did a little sweeping of the building-it’s our month to do it, then I got dressed up and went outside to shovel a bit of snow. I cleared the bit in front of the apartment door, then cleared F’s parking space for him. The snow was light and not packed so it wasn’t difficult, but it was cold and the snow was blowing mightily. I finally finished, and went back inside.

F came home a few minutes later and was quite pleased with what I had done. I was glad that he said something!

We went out for dinner after a bit. The roads were very slippery, and we saw a car do a U-turn in the middle of the road right in front of us. They slipped on the ice. They righted themselves and then when we went over the same piece of ice we skidded a bit too. F was going to take me to a Chinese Restaurant that we’ve been to a couple of times, but changed his mind. We went to a different Chinese Restaurant that I’ll call the Panda Place because there was a picture of two pandas on the front. The meal was quite nice, if a little greasy. I’m sure F will try and take me there again, and there’s a lot worse places that he’s taken me!

We came home via the gas station for more kerosene and my school to check for mail. I thought we’d go through the grocery store, but we didn’t!

At home, I suggested that F watch The Bridges of Madison County. For some reason they put it on in Japanese rather than English. He enjoyed it, which is good. We watched Shameless again at 11 then I watched In The Thick of It at midnight. I followed that up with two episodes of ER.

Tomorrow is my last day off before I’m back to work. However, I don’t know what I’m going to do with myself. The weather makes it hard to get places, so maybe I’ll just stay home again. As always, tune in tomorrow and find out what I do. Night!
