Wednesday - Cold and snowy

An okay day.  I got up a little late, watched last week’s Private Practice, but not closely, then a bit of other TV.  I enjoyed my episode of The West Wing today too.  Yay.

I had a quiet morning at home really.  I got a couple of postcards in the mail today, and I really should send some again soon.

Later on in the afternoon I went outside and shovelled a bit of snow.  There was only a couple of inches on the ground, but it was still coming down.  I cleared F’s space, then tried to carve out the mound behind it a bit, so that the car would fit a bit better.

I came back in and watched Project Runway 3.  It was quite fun.  F came back in the middle of it and as usual was quite exhausted.  Poor thing.

We went out for dinner again.  It seems to stop us from arguing about what to make.  I suggested sushi or curry, F countered with sushi and curry.  Hilarity reigned.  We went to Kappa sushi for our sushi and it was okay.  We didn’t really have as much as usual, but I did order dessert.  They had fondant chocola on offer and I got one. It was really nice.  I was surprised that the cheap sushi place had a nice dessert. We were joking about the curry!

We bought a few groceries and then we came home for the evening.  I finally made chai. I’ve been gathering the ingredients for it for a few days.  It was okay. I need to tweak the ingredients a little bit, and perhaps work on my method, but it was good.  I had a mug of it, and I had a little leftover for F.  He liked it too.

We watched some TV tonight, including The Green Hornet which really is a bad movie, then Private Practice. I got another couple of crochet rows done so I’m up to 30 I think.  The afghan is getting nice and warm on my lap. It’ll be lovely when it is finished I think.

Edited to add that there was a 5+ earthquake tonight near Sado Island in Niigata.  We didn't get any kind of a warning, but the apartment did shake quite a bit.  It measured a 2 on the Japanese scale here, but I thought it felt bigger. I do not need an earthquake when I'm on my way to Niigata this weekend!

That was my day. I hope to go out tomorrow, but it does depend a bit on the weather.  Today, the weather was quite rotten, so I didn’t want to go out.  Wish me luck with that. I’ll be back tomorrow night if all goes well.  Night!
