Saturday - Snow in the morning, rain in the afternoon
An okay day.
F and I both slept in this morning, although I did get up before him so that I could take my shower. I was finished before he got up too!
We had a relaxing morning and then went out for lunch. F chose Ringo-en, the yakiniku shop and we both had bibinba, different types, but the same basic thing, plus some meat to grill. The meat was okay…but the bibinba was nice.
F dropped me off at work and I got busy. I was quite early for a change…no snow shovelling….so I did a thorough vacuuming and then even dusted. I changed the postcard display as well. I was quite busy for the first hour. I also got out my stereo and listened to a CD that a friend gave me.
When 4 pm came, my student didn’t. She phoned a few minutes later to say she was on her way and would be a little longer. She did show up, and we had a brief but nice class. She got a new book to read and she gave me some tickets to a concert that’s in my city next month. It’s classical music so even F wants to go.
After class, I read some of the newspapers I had taken over there and then called F and asked him to pick me up. He did, and after a bit of hemming and hawing we decided to go to Amarume to have dinner. We haven’t been out there for a long time.
It wasn’t a success. My dish was fine, I had chicken gratin, so basically baked chicken with cheese, salad, rice and soup, while F had the winter special. It was omurice, shrimp, French fries and dessert. He didn’t like it much. Tell me something new!
We came home and F watched something before we watched last week’s Walking Dead together. We also watched this week’s episode together. As usual, I said to F, “Why do I watch this?” I get so freaked out at times.
F went to bed fairly early and I’m still up. I taped a couple of shows for Monday or Tuesday, and watched Gossip Girl.
Anyway…that is about it for me. Tomorrow F and I may do something, although I’m not sure what. Hopefully it’ll go well for us. It’s a big anniversary and although we weren’t impacted to the extent the people on the other coast were, things haven’t been great in Tohoku since the big quake. Let’s hope that tomorrow starts a more stable year. Night.
