Sunday - Rainy with a bit of snow

An okay day.  I slept in today but got up before 12.  F and I went out for lunch to Grado. It was quite good.  While we were there, they turned off the Disney channel and turned on a Japanese one.  They watched the remembering ceremony on TV.  Just before 2:46 pm, a couple of women came in and sat down.  They babbled all through the next few minutes.  I was a little shocked that they didn’t even stop talking through the minute of silence.  I got a bit weepy, F talked through it too.

We went out to the mall after lunch and went shopping. I was quite surprised because F tagged along and was actually helpful!  He found a top for my friend and I liked it enough to buy.  I got a couple of other little things and then we took everything to the car.  He moved closer to the mall.

We bought our movie tickets and then did a bit of window shopping.  After a while we had a drink in Seattle’s Best and then went up to the theatre.  We saw Hugo today.  I really liked it.  I thought that it was nicely done.  It wasn’t in 3D and I’m glad. I had a headache for most of the day and 3D wouldn’t have helped.

After the movie we had dinner at the mall and then came home via the grocery store.  F proceeded to watch maudlin stuff on the TV so I ignored it, as did he.  He played either with his cell phone or his computer again.

We both did postcrossing cards tonight.  I did three as it has been a few days since I sent some out.  I keep hoping that mine will arrive soon and then I’ll have more free to send!  Today I wrote cards to Germany, Lithuania and Chile.

And that was my day.  It was quiet and I’m glad.  It may not sound like it, but I had lots of time for reflection and used it.  I just hope that now that the one year anniversary is over, that we don’t collectively forget that there is so much work to be done.

Night.
