Saturday - Sunny and hot

An okay day really. Quite productive.

I got up this morning and took a shower.  F was going to go to a doctor but I wasn’t sure if he could get back by my leaving time. He didn’t think he would either, so he postponed his trip. 

We had a pretty nice breakfast at Jiro today.  I had a hamburg and mix fry. It was fine.  They don’t substitute tea for coffee for lunch specials so F had my coffee.  

I went to my school and got ready for my student.  She came on time and we had a good lesson.  I’ve got her reading the graded readers for English learners and she just finished reading a level one.  She’s only a junior high school student so I thought it was quite good for her.  

After my student left, I did quite a bit of work in the school. I did my paperwork, corrected homework from last week and also read two newspapers.  I did the dishes and finally called F.  

We went to the drugstore for me and then spent a long time walking around the store getting stuff.  We picked up a few things for our trip and also a couple of lunch cutlery sets.  They have a fork, spoon and a pair of chopsticks.  It’s all made of plastic, but we thought it’s a good thing to have either in the car or our suitcases. 

We came home for a while and then went out for dinner. F requested a yakiniku place that just re-opened under a new name, so we went there.  I thought it would be okay, but he ordered himself some ramen and also us a mixed plate of meat.  I wasn’t impressed. I ordered some extra veggies to share and some Korean style pickles.  There wasn’t enough of the meat that I like, and F gave me a bit of his stuff by mistake. It was gross.  Afterwards, F was full, I wasn’t really.  We drove around for a while, tried to go to Mister Donut for coffee, but the parking lot was full.  We ended up at McDonalds for a quick dessert!

We came home and sadly things went a little downhill. I wanted to watch the CSI shows tonight, and I did, but I asked F to DVR another show for us. He seemed to misunderstand something I said and got huffy just out of the blue.  We’d had a great night until then, so I don’t know what the situation was. Anyway, he stormed off to bed, but came out a few times since then.  He didn’t seem so mad afterwards, but I don’t know what’s going on with him.  

Anyway, our Golden Week has started.  We’ll be taking off for a few days but I’ll probably update tomorrow before we leave.  Hope you all have a great holiday if you get one at this time of year.  Night!
