Monday - Hot and sunny
A good day.
I got up early…well, on time anyway this morning. I guess the early bedtime worked! (Don’t know if I’ll do it again or not.)
I had a quiet morning. I did my usual things, I wrote an extra postcrossing card to go out, and I scanned my cards, and some photographs. I had some precious photos at my school and was always in fear that someone would damage them or that I’d inadvertently throw them out. I also scanned my latest Gotochi card.
When I finished I made a quick trip to the mailbox to send off my postcards. I hope they’ll arrive a lot quicker than the batch that is in transit now.
I came home and it wasn’t too long before F called me and said he was on his way. When he arrived he started a load of laundry and then went to bed.
I got dinner started. Tonight was a pork stirfry, but F wanted me to use miso in it. I’d never done that before and in fact I don’t have a lot of experience working with miso, so I consulted the internet for ideas, then created my own plan. I blended some miso with some soy sauce and used that where I’d normally use fish sauce and oyster sauce. It seemed to work okay and wasn’t as salty as I feared.
We had a quiet evening in. I watched a cooking show, F watched Boxing, then we watched Medium and then a documentary about the Queen. That was quite enjoyable.
Tomorrow I have an evening class and F thinks he’ll be late. I’ll try and get myself home. Not really sure what tomorrow will bring, but that might be a good thing! Got to go. Night!

Sounds yummy! Another miso dish I like is eggplant with miso and shiso leaves. (^-^)/
Oooh, that sounds good! You might have to tell me how to make it. I love eggplant and shiso! I don't make a lot of Japanese stuff honestly.
