Saturday - Rainy and cool

An okay day.

I got up this morning and F had decided not to go to his doctor.  He was sitting on the chesterfield in the dark, with the TV’s headphones on.  I was trying to wake up, but find it really difficult to wake up when it is dark and cold in my apartment!

I showered and had just gone on line when F asked about leaving. I wasn’t quite ready yet, and said so.  Himself got all upset and really I just thought he was nuts.

I was off my computer around 10:30 and we left the apartment before 11.  We headed to the doctor and as I suspected, the waiting room was nearly empty.  I’m not sure why F wants to go so early when later means less waiting.  Anyway, we got our flu shots today.  It hurt a little, although F says his doesn’t.  Mine now has the familiar red circle and it does feel a bit hot.  F doesn’t feel anything.  I wish I was like that.

After that, we had lunch at Cafe Framboise.  We can’t usually have lunch there as I have an early class on Saturday.  Today I didn’t have it.  We had a nice lunch. I had pasta, F had the Japanese lunch special.

When we finished lunch we went to S-Mall for a few minutes to pick up some brochures.  F has a bee in his bonnet about going on holiday in January or February. I’m nervous about the places he wants to go, but do want to visit them.

After that, I asked him to drop me off at my school. I had a few projects in mind for my extra time.  And a nap. I wanted one of those.  I got to my school, started the heater and then took a bit of a nap.  My student called to say that she couldn’t come today and sadly, couldn’t come for the next month.  Sigh.

I worked on my Christmas Letter, did a first draft. I also worked on a little of my next movie column, but basically I took another nap too.  I did a bit of moving cards around on my closet and when I got really bored, F texted me.  Good timing!  He picked me up a little later.

We had dinner in Cocos tonight and it was nice.  The only problem is that it was busy so they put us at the end and the smoke from the smoking area started to waft in my direction.  That made me cough and that wasn’t a good thing at all.

We came home via the drug store.  At home F suggested that I make some bread for tomorrow so there is some brioche in the bread maker.  It’s from a box that we bought, not something that I created at all!

I watched my TV programmes, F did a postcrossing.  I’ve been feeling a bit jaded by Postcrossing after the two bad experiences I’ve had this week, but on checking my email, I discovered that one of the admins has been reading my blog (Woot! Welcome!) and offered to send me a card to cheer me up.

There are nice people out there. I have to remember that!

F is still up. He’s watching UFC in Macao.  I am so not into that kind of thing, but since I watched 4 hours of TV straight, I can’t really complain!

Tomorrow I’m not sure what the plan is.  F’s dog Gombei has been sick so I think he’s going to go and check on him. I hope Gombei is okay.  He lives with F’s mother and I think they need each other.  I’d like to go and do a little more shopping, but I’m close to being done now.  Yay for that.  Then, I only have to wrap it all and send it.

That’s it for me for today.  Catch you tomorrow? Night.
