Tuesday - Cold and rainy

A good day!

I got up this morning, breakfasted on the couch and ate some of my lovely tea & walnut bread with my yogurt.  I watched House and then took a shower .  

I was relaxing at my computer watching SATC when F called me.  He was going to take half a day off work, so was inviting me to go for lunch.  He’d drive me to work after lunch. Woot.  

We did that.  He came home, picked me up, and then we made a quick stop in my school to drop off some bags, and start the heater.  After that, we had lunch at Cocos.  It wasn’t very busy, probably because we were there a little after the lunch crowd. 

F dropped me off at my school and I got ready for my student to come.  When she did, we had a good class and enjoyed ourselves.  She’ll be back on Thursday this week.  

After her class, I read Sunday’s paper, did some paperwork and then got out the bags that I had brought over earlier.  Tonight, I was going to be busy.

I wrapped all of the Christmas presents that we have bought to send overseas so far.  After finishing one bag of things for my friend, I texted F and asked if he’d like to join me to help or to just have a drink.  

We were there for ages, but we got it all done.  It was a good thing to do, I could see who needs to have a few more things bought for them, and who got too much!  At first, F frustrated me because he wasn’t doing things MY WAY, but then I realised that he was doing his best and to be honest, did a pretty good job of wrapping things.  I got him to keep track of costs and weights of items too, so he wasn’t just sitting and watching me work.  

We finished around 8 or 8:30 and then it was time to go for dinner.  I suggested the local Chinese place that F takes me for lunch sometimes, so there we went.  It was quite nice tonight.  It wasn’t busy, so we didn’t have much smoke in the air.  

After our dinner, we just came home.  We didn’t buy groceries for dinner tomorrow.  We probably should have, but we were both a bit tired and just wanted to go home.  

We had a quiet evening in.  It was really good for us both! 

If the weather is decent tomorrow, I’ll probably go out to the mall in Tsuruoka, and to the post office.  I’m not ready to send all of the packages, but I might send the one to my friend.  I’ll see how I feel about it tomorrow.  That’s it for me.  Night!
