Monday - Sunny but cool
A good day. I got up this morning in time to watch House, so I did. I spent a bit of time at my computer, and a bit of time on the couch. Afterwards, more time on the computer. After breakfast I took a painkiller and it made me so sleepy that I decided to go to bed.
I took a nap, and of course, F called me during it. Poor guy, his timing isn’t good! I groggily talked to him. Basically, he’d taken the afternoon off so he could take me to the doctors’ offices.
He came home around 1:30 and changed. After that, we went and had a yummy and quick lunch at Doutors and then hit up the first doctor. He was surprised to hear about my trip to the hospital (we left out the part about going to Sendai against his advice!) and then sent me over to the other doctor’s office.
At the Orthopedist, we talked about my treatment and basically I should just continue what I’m doing for the next couple of weeks. He said to take it easy. I’ll go back and see him on Saturday morning. (Boo! I hate busy Saturday mornings before work)
After that, F and I ran a few errands. We ordered our Christmas chicken from the butcher and also did a little last minute present buying for the people that I planned to buy presents for in Sendai but didn’t.
We had dinner at Kappa Sushi tonight. It wasn’t great, but it was okay. We had quite a lot of non-sushi food, which I liked. I like sushi, but sometimes I get tired of it.
We went to a grocery store, not our usual one, to get a few things for tomorrow’s dinner. I’m going to do pasta tomorrow night, with some steamed chicken on it. Should be fine I think.
I also got started - FINALLY - on my Christmas cards. I’m not going to do a Christmas Newsletter this year. There hasn’t been a lot of good things to write about and I don’t have the energy to write about bad things in a good way! I wrote about 4. Hopefully I’ll be able to run them to the post office tomorrow. For good measure, I also did a Postcrossing, since my travelling cards are falling really, really low. AND, while I’m on the subject, a really cool thing happened. About 3 weeks ago, I sent a card to a woman in Vancouver. Today, F got a card from a woman in Vancouver. I thought that it might be the same person, and after he registered his card, we found out that it was! I think that has happened once before, but not at the same time. My card was on its way to her, when she sent the card to F.
Anyway, that’s it for me. Tomorrow I hope to get a few things done, and take things easy a bit too. Got to go. Night!

I've wondered about that: if someday you might get a card from someone you sent one to. That would be so nice.
I have not even printed out my Christmas cards yet, but I've got them all designed and ready to be printed. I'm sending postcards this year to save on postage...
I'm not sure if it is possible, but since some people have multiple accounts, it must be! I suppose if you have multiple accounts it must be theoretically possibly to send a card to yourself!
It was neat to think that my card to the lady was on its way while hers to my DH was on its.
2 years ago when I was in Canada for Christmas I picked up a couple of boxes of Christmas Cards after Christmas for a discount :-) so I'm using the second box this year, plus a few that I bought here at reasonable prices.
Many of the people I send cards to are older relatives and since I don't write to them often, a Card is something that I'd rather send! I usually print my own Christmas postcards for my students though.
Thanks for your comments!
