Sunday - Clear and sunny, warmish

A good day.  I woke up a few times this morning.  The amazing aroma from the bread was working its way into my nostrils!  F got up and he took the bread out and had a bit, while I slept on.

Finally I got up and had some.  It was very good.  The cranberries are very nice and so is the cinnamon.  It just adds a little something to the whole process.  I’m sure that we’ll be making whole wheat cranberry cinnamon bread again.  Here’s a little look at it.
Cranberry Cinnamon Whole Wheat Bread
After we got dressed we went out for lunch.  I had suggested going to a yakiniku place that stays open for a late lunch on Sundays.  I had a bibinba with meat on the side, salad and soup.  F had just yakiniku with rice, salad and soup. His wasn’t as good as some of his meat was a little tough.

After lunch, F wanted to go to his car dealership.  He thought it was time to have his oil changed, and the dealership was having a visitor day.  If we went this month we’d get a lucky bag and of course they offer us a refreshing beverage.  I told F I’d only go if I could take my book and read it!  Poor thing.  He was sitting next to me while I was enjoying Catching Fire (Second in The Hunger Games Trilogy).  Great book.  I enjoyed my hot chocolate, but honestly have very little idea about what was going on there.  Hubs didn’t need to have his oil changed quite yet apparently, but he ordered a new battery for his key clicker thing.

That done, we went on a quest to find me a fanny pack. We’ve read that we can’t take backpacks into some places in Taiwan, and since my purse is a mini backpack, that isn’t a good thing.  I want something I can wear.  We tried one shop.  It had one on offer, but it was a “Brand” and cost over $150.  No thanks!  I want to have money in my bag when I go over.  We tried another place that sells large size clothing. I tried on a few things, but nothing was quite right.  I even tried on a coat, but it wasn’t right for me.  I’m outside a lot in the cold and this coat just didn’t seem to be warm enough.  I saw a trench coat that I liked but it was over $200, so I wouldn’t even try it on.  I’ll scrape one more year out of my coat.  Just as we’d decided to go to the mall in Mikawa, I remembered another store nearby that had bags. I’d even bought a one shouldered backpack there a few years before.  We went and had a look and sure enough, they had waist bags.  Well, now they have one less!  It was on sale, feels like leather although it isn’t really, and fits me.  Woot.

We hit up S-Mall for a little while and then F wanted to go to the Taiyaki shop.  Today had a “6” in the number, so all taiyaki were ¥100.  He got us a couple and then we went home.  We ate our taiyaki and relaxed for a while.

Around 8 we went to Kappa Sushi for dinner.  I was smart and didn’t eat too much, but F overdid it a little.  Everything we had was quite nice tonight, and it was good for us to go when it had quieted down.

We bought groceries after dinner and then came home and vegged.  I found Little Women on the TV later on and we watched that.  Well, I did.

That’s about it for me for today.  So, really it was a good day with lots of shopping and some yummy bread.  Got to go.  Night.

Your bread looks delicious!
I had to write to say I had the same trouble buying a coat around here. There doesn't seem to be much in the middle between cheap and expensive. Glad you found the right bag. Looking forward to reading about your trip ;0)

Thanks for visiting!

The bread is delicious! There's only a little bit of it left and I'm debating calling it my lunch :-)

The coat was okay, but not proportioned quite right, and not suitable to doing things like shovelling snow, so I passed.

You'll probably read all about my trip here first! ;-)
