Friday - Warm and sunny

A good day.

I got up on time this morning and had a piece of F’s delicious bread.  He’d made pain de campagne in the bread maker.  The first piece, I didn’t even bother to toast or butter.  It was amazing.  It was very close to sourdough bread.  Nom, nom, nom.

I had a quiet morning at home. I showered.  I was a bit ticked because D-Life’s morning show is back to being dubbed into Japanese.  I’ve got really used to having an English programme on at 9:00am.  It gave me a reason to get up in the morning!

In the afternoon I had lunch.  I think I ate more for lunch than I did for dinner the night before. It was darn good too.  I had leftover chicken, green beans and and more lovely bread!

I rode my bike to work today. I did have to walk in a few places, but it was so lovely to be able to ride my bike.  I parked and went into my school.

My class went really well and my student and I had a good time.  She asked me a few questions about my holiday, she’d prepared them in advance. It was really nice.

After class I checked her homework and I prepped some more for her, and another lesson. The next one might take a little longer.  When I finished that I read some of the newspaper.

F picked me up at 6:30 ish  He had a hard time putting my bike into his trunk, but he did it.  He may have broken my light though.  Grr.  We had dinner at Fireball and it was great.  I had chicken and vegetable pasta in a tomato cream spaghetti and F had baby clams with spinach pasta.  They were both good. We were both quite full afterwards.

We came home.  F went on his computer and watched what he said was the news, and I watched a movie and then a few TV shows on TV.  It’s been a quiet, but nice and low key evening.

Tomorrow, I have one class as one postponed, and I’m not sure what we’re going to do either before or after it.  There may be a movie in my future! That’s it for me.  I have to go.  Night.

I so miss sourdough bread! Is the bread that you mentioned from a mix?

No, it was a recipe in our bread maker's book. It's made a little like French Bread, there's no milk powder or butter.

It isn't as sour as sourdough bread is, but it is the closest I've had over here!

You can look for recipes on-line for "pain de campagne". Good luck with it!

Thanks for visiting :-)
