Friday - Cloudy, then rainy at night

A good day.

I woke up a little late today. I kept hitting the snooze alarm and couldn’t wake up. I was having one of those weird dreams that only comes just before I wake up, the kind I never remember!

I had a quiet morning around the apartment and was lucky that I didn’t really have to make lunch.  I reheated some of the nabe from yesterday.  When I left for work it wasn’t raining. Yay.  I decided to ride my bike to work today.  I had to walk down our driveway and also on some of the sidewalks, but I was able to ride most of the way.  I’m sure it saved my poor foot.

When I got to my school the lady next door came over to apologise. When I was shovelling snow on Tuesday, I heard a big “crack” sound and the snow from part of her roof slid off and onto the parking space next to mine.  I am so glad that I wasn’t one space over!  I could have been injured from the snow falling.  It wasn’t a big deal to me, and I didn’t mind.  I didn’t understand all that she was saying, but I appreciated the gesture.

I didn’t have to do much work outside today.  I did a little at the back of my parking space, but really, most of the snow had melted.  

I prepared for my class and when the student came, we had a good one.  It’s a little difficult for her I think.  She tries so hard though, I’m quite pleased with her about that.

After class I did my paperwork and then read two newspapers.  F had told me that he’d be late tonight, and he also sent me a text message to say he hadn’t finished work yet. If it hadn’t been dark and rainy I might have ridden home, but it was. I thought it might be rather dangerous with all the snow and ice around, so stayed put.  

After a short nap, I decided to cull some of my clothes at the school.  I tried on a few blouses and most of them will still fit me.  Yay.  I even found a pair of pants that I had forgotten about.  While I was doing that, F finally called to say he was done.  

He swung by the school to pick up me and then my bicycle.  We had a decent dinner in Cocos, then came home.  F watched rather too much UFC stuff from my point of view, but he rarely gets the TV at night, so shouldn’t complain.  I watched Nurse Jackie later on and then NCIS. 

I sent a bunch of emails in my official capacity of Tohoku Rep and then did blogging! Now you are up to date with my life for today.  I have to go and sleep now.  Night!
