Thursday - Colder
A good day.
Today was quite boring. I overslept a bit, got up, watched a bit of something, but The X-Files are off again, had breakfast and tea.
In the afternoon I watched some of the TV that I had DVR’d while away, did a spot or two of housework and also caught up on some computer things.
I started dinner a little early. Tonight I did salt lemon chicken, salad and brussel sprouts in Garlic butter….that was good and surprisingly easy. Oh, I made chawanmushi from a packet for F.
He wasn’t late today, so we had dinner around 7 I think and then he did the dishes. In the evening I did a few Postcrossings and watched telly on the couch while doing some crochet. Yay me.
Because today was horribly boring, I plan to show you a few of the pictures from our trip.
For Christmas Dinner...although the mincemeat tarts usually don't get eaten until just before they expire!!! (April)
Fishpond in Aizu Wakamatsu
Yours truly at a museum in Aizu Wakamatsu.
Aizu Bukeyashiki (the museum's name). Very well set up with lots of English. Shows a Samurai Retainer's home. It looked like a busy place.
We had lunch at the top of the street in a soba shop. It was okay. Not my favourite, but the day was cold and the restaurant was out of the wind. It started to snow while we were inside.
The birthday guy enjoying his soba. He was a happy camper!
Shivering in the cold.
Come back later and see how my Friday goes. Until tomorrow….

If that is the same cafe we went to, it was formerly the office of famous doctor and scientist hideyo Noguchi.
I think you are probably correct! It was on Hideyo Noguchi street or something. If we'd had more time/better weather I would have liked to walk down that street, but...
Thanks for visiting :-)
