Monday - Cloudy and muggy

A good day.

I woke up this morning when F left for work. He was noisy this morning and even brought his breakfast upstairs to eat it.  He also graciously left me his dish….

I went downstairs to have breakfast after the news and K was snoozing, so thought I’d just grab my food and go back upstairs.  However, she woke up, so I asked her if she’d like some breakfast.  She would, so we breakfasted together. It was nice.  I washed all of the breakfast dishes, the stuff F had left upstairs and the tank for the ice cubes in the fridge.

I went upstairs again for a few minutes and brought down a load of laundry and did that.  I went upstairs while it was washing away and put away clothes and thought about my plans for the day. I had planned to go out and see a movie, but decided not to do it today as it would be full price and it wasn’t supposed to be that good.  I might go on Ladies Day, if I go at all. 

I went down to have lunch and again, K was sleeping, so thought I wouldn’t wake her up. However, she did wake up and said that she’d like something to eat so I fixed her a little lunch too.  We had sandwiches and salad and it was quite nice.  We also had some peaches for dessert, although she only ate half of hers, and I didn’t eat any of them!

After lunch, I decided to go out anyway.  Of course it took me hours to decide to do it, and then I was off.  I tried to say goodbye to K, but she was sleeping again.  

I bicycled off to Ginza-dori and explored some of the shops nearby.  I didn’t buy much, but I did get some gorgeous tea in Kettle One. I also had a chat with the lady that runs it.  Her mother was a student at L’Eikaiwa but sadly has Alzheimer’s Disease now.  I met her, but she didn’t remember me at all.  I stopped in to Cafe Studio Cinq for some Darjeeling Tea and wifi and then took off again for the house.  

I said hello to K who was awake now and then came upstairs and stripped off my hot outdoors clothes!  I relaxed until F came back.

Dinner tonight was courtesy of the new sushi restaurant in town. It’s good, but the wait times are still a bit crazy.  

We picked up some groceries and then came back to F’s house.  K was sleeping, I don’t think she got up at all.  It’s okay.  We did bring her some food, but she already had some too.  

F and I came upstairs.  I watched a little telly and darned in a few ends, F took a shower and went to bed.  It’s been a long day and I’m quite tired.  

I’m not sure what I’ll do tomorrow.  I haven’t made any plans for myself yet. I think I’ll do some laundry and try to relax around here.  Come back later and find out.  Until tomorrow….
