Friday - Hot and sunny, cloudy

A good day.

I got up this morning but had a problem staying awake.  Momento was on, but I couldn’t keep my eyes open, and for some reason, the news hadn’t recorded, so I was a tad bewildered.  It took me a while before I got moving.

I had my breakfast and then I started to work on my column.  It took a while, but I finally got it ready to go and I sent it off.  Yay.

I had a latish lunch and then I spent some time composing an email for work.  I sent it off too.

Around 4 pm I went downstairs, washed the dishes and gave K a drink.  I came back upstairs with my drink and relaxed for a while.  All of a sudden I heard her on the stairs.  She was sweeping.  Sigh. I had vacuumed on Sunday, so it didn’t really need to be swept yet, but I couldn’t tell her that.  I did the bit at the top and gave her broom back to her.  I was a bit worried that she might lose her balance on the stairs, but she didn’t.

F was a little late tonight.  He wasn’t feeling that well and was tired.  He didn’t have any ideas about dinner, so I suggested going to a restaurant in Kushibiki that we both like. It’s a sort of Chinese place. The food is quite good.  F liked that idea and wanted to bring his mother. I said it was fine if we went out afterwards.  He agreed.

We drove to the restaurant and it was fine.  F had a rice porridge dish, his mother had ramen and I had a stir-fry with egg, pork and vegetables.  I liked it a lot.

Afterwards, we dropped off his mother and went off.  First, we went to Mina, the grocery store. I wanted to check if they had more British Biscuits and they did!  Woot. I bought a packet of
Digestives.  We got a few other things, paid and then headed out to Mos Burger.

At Mos Burger, I had a cake and drink set and F just had a milkshake.  We used the wifi for a bit and then left.  We stopped into a convenience store for a litre of milk for K and then came back to the house.

F went to bed fairly early, but I took a shower and watched some telly.  I watched the repeat of The Great British Bake Off and then the end of Tremors.  It has been years since I saw the film and it was just as fun as ever.  I should see that film again. Everyone should!

So that’s about it. Tomorrow I have a doctor appointment and apart from that, I’m not sure what I’ll get up to. I’m hoping to see the new Mission Impossible over the weekend, fingers crossed.

Come back later if you dare and see what I get up to. Until tomorrow….
