Thursday - Hot and Sunny with some cloud
A good day.
I had a hard time getting up this morning but did. I relaxed on the bed for a while but finally shook a leg. I watched a bit of TV and grabbed my breakfast. Around 12 I finished watching the film I started yesterday and did some darning in of ends of my little blue squares.
When my movie finished, I worked on my column. I think I have most of it done. I’ll re-read it tomorrow and see if it needs any additions or tweaking. I hope the readers enjoy it as much as I did writing it. That took up most of the afternoon, but I did have time for lunch as well.
I did dishes around 4 pm and then came back upstairs with some tea to watch the news from PBS. F came back to the house fairly early tonight. He wanted to go to the onsen but suggested taking his mother out for dinner first. He asked that we go for udon to the restaurant that I like, so that was fine! We went, had a nice meal and then dropped K off back at the house.
F and I drove to the onsen, but stopped to buy some tape at a hardware shop first. We had a little poke around the store but didn’t buy anything. At the onsen, he went off to do that bath thing, I found a seat and eventually worked on end-darning. I finished all the small squares, so that was good.
F came back out and sat with me for a while. We left the onsen just a little before it closed and drove back to Tsuruoka. I had asked that we get ice cream tonight, so we stopped in at a conbini for some.
At the house, we turned on the AC in our room, and I watched a little bit of TV. I probably should have taken a shower and I just realized that I don’t have any salad for my lunch tomorrow, but it’ll be fine, I hope!
Tomorrow I’ll work on my column and I also have to email the company that I’ll be working for this month in order to clarify a few things. Wish me luck with that! Until tomorrow….
Oh, and PS…happy birthday to my very cool niece. I miss her so much, but she doesn’t read my blog at all!
