Wednesday - Sunny and Hot

A good day.

I got up this morning and did my usual news watching, drinking hot beverages and bed making.  A little after breakfast I got out my crochet and put another coloured edge around the blanket. It looks great.

In the afternoon I did more crochet and somewhere along the way decided that I wouldn’t do Postcrossing today.  I ended up starting another row of crochet around the blanket.

I offered K some iced coffee in the afternoon and she seemed really agitated about something. I have no idea what it was since I didn’t understand a word she said! I told her I didn’t understand and left.  Not much else I could do.

I watched a movie off the DVR this afternoon for a change. I had planned to watch and then delete it, but I really loved it!  It was Sing Street and it was so Eighties and sweet and me!  I kept thinking of one of my best friends in Uni when I was watching it, probably because she dressed a lot like some of the characters.

F came back to the house around 6 pm tonight and we talked about dinner. It was so hot today that I couldn’t even think about cooking. I suggested bentos but F suggested going to the restaurant in Kushibiki again. It’s a good place and I like to encourage F to actually pick places so we went there. On the way, he told me that his office needs some information about my work last month. They need my hours worked and it sounds like a bit more information.  Surely that is none of their business?!  Of course, the information will go on my taxes, but Japan being the inane patriarchal society that it is means that I have no privacy. I don’t particularly want my husband knowing how much I earn either. And then F got ticked off at me when I said that I didn’t want to tell his company or him my information.

We had a pretty decent dinner at the restaurant. We ordered 3 dishes again and shared them. We had a noodle dish, a tofu on rice dish and a meat and veggie one.  They were…so so.

We brought K back to the house.  When we got back to the house, F got out of the car to open the door for K.  Something dropped out of his pocket onto the seat. I looked at it and was completely convinced it was a dead bird or bat. I couldn’t see it well as it was dark, but using the flashlight mode on my phone convinced me even more.  I got out of the car and told F that there was a dead bird on his seat. He was a bit shocked and checked it out. Turns out that it was some brown paper that had crinkled up.  I really was a bit freaked out but it was nothing! It was dark in the car and the way the light hit the folds made me think it was something it wasn’t.

F and I went to get a little wifi action. We went to Gusto and had kakigori and drink bar.  We followed that with some grocery shopping.

At the house, F disappeared for a while and I started watching something on TV.  I got worried about him and went searching, but he was okay.  I took a shower and then he did and I watched The Blacklist again.  James Spader is so….cool.

That’s about it. It’s late again and I should sleep.  No idea what I’ll get up to tomorrow. I may do some more crochet but I’d really like to do some Postcrossing this week. I need to build up my sent cards again.

Come back later if you dare and see what I get up to. Until tomorrow….
