Thursday - Sunny and warm

A good day.

After F woke me up this morning with his moving around the room, he asked me to send him the hours that I worked last month.  I said I would and he left.

I got up just after he left, watched the International News, eventually got dressed and made the bed, no big deal.  When I got over to my computer I went through my records and made a listing of my hours last month, although I still really didn’t have any idea why he would need them this year.  He didn’t.  He called me after I sent them to him and said that he actually needed last year’s hours.  That made so much more sense since the tax documents we had picked up a few months ago were for last year.

I did a couple of loads of laundry this morning but generally had a quiet day.  I didn’t even cross paths with K today.

In the afternoon I did a few postcards up and got them ready to go out.

When F came back to the house he brought up a letter from the potter who made my favourite bowl. She was inviting us to a craft fair in a couple of weeks.  We’re planning to go to get a replacement for F’s cup and my bowl. I’m still using it, but it is cracked and I can’t put it in the microwave.

F suggested bentos for dinner, so I found the website and we ordered them. I was able to type F’s name in Katakana fairly fast tonight. Yay me. Making the mental switch from “fu” to “hu” and “co” to “ko” takes a bit of time.

F and I went off to the bento shop but walked to the gyomu supa next door.  We picked up a few things for the house and also some drinks for tonight, which I just realized we didn’t actually drink! We got the food and then brought it back to the house.

We had a pleasant meal in front of the TV.  It was all about the earthquake in Hokkaido.  Didn’t I mention it?  Just a little after I went to bed last night, there was a big earthquake in the big northern island.  Most of the people I know have checked in so that’s a good thing. I hope they can get the power back soon.

After dinner, we cleaned up and then F and I went off to the onsen.  He took his bath, I updated my apps and then I finished a row around my blanket.  I really like the way that it looks. I’m going to have to get it done soon…it is nearly there.

We came back to the house directly tonight.  I watched a bit of telly, F did his phone thing.

That is about it.  Tomorrow I might work on my blanket a little more if my hands can handle it.  Or maybe I’ll send more postcards? Or I’ll live dangerously and do both?!

Come back later if you are up to it and see what I get up to.  Until tomorrow….
