Monday - Rainy and cloudy

I had an odd night and woke up a couple of times. I dislike that a lot, especially when I wake up F and didn’t mean to. He had to get up early this morning. I didn’t even hear him this time.

I got up and watched the new format of the news and it was not good. I can’t understand the Japanese announcers and I wasn’t very interested in the news they showcased. Oh, it wasn’t cats-in-a-tree today, it was kites. Yes, important international news brought to you by NHK.

ER was terrific, really it was. It was the one just after Sam got kidnapped. Abby went into labour and it was all quite emotional. After I had breakfast and then watched The Mentalist. I did some laundry today too and after I hung up my second load to dry, I went downstairs to work on my soup for dinner. 

I spent a bit over an hour making soup today. I cut up some veggies, peeled some of them too, and then had to clean up afterwards. I got it in the pot and left it. Yay. I took my lunch upstairs with me and ate while I watched more stuff from the DVR.

I had a quiet late afternoon. F called around 5:30 to say he was finished work, so I went downstairs and started putting the rest of dinner together. We had stir-fried cabbage, baked tandoori chicken, cauliflower with a bit of garlic on it and my lovely soup.  I was a bit surprised how much of the food disappeared. We didn’t finish the soup since I’d made a lot, but everything else except some of the cabbage was eaten tonight. I guess they liked it.  

I started to do the dishes but F took over and washed them. He has such an odd way of doing things. I stack dishes on the table so that they are out of the way, he always forgets to check if there is anything on the table to wash. Tonight he washed the empty chicken tray before he washed the rest of the dishes.  I made him change the water and was a bit annoyed as it was the second time he’s done that in a week.

After dishes, we went upstairs. F took a nap and then we went out for a bit. We had coffee at Komeda. It was better than usual because F had left his cellphone at the house. He actually talked to me a bit. Yay for that. We went over to MaxValu and got a few groceries too. Originally it was just to get rice!

We came back to the house and came upstairs after unpacking the groceries. I watched a bit of TV, F made up for lost time with his cellphone. 

That’s about it for tonight. I am very tired and hope I can get more sleep than usual. Come back later if you like and see if I was successful!  Until tomorrow….
