Tuesday - Snowy then sunny, cold

My day began with a shock when I looked outside and saw that the snow was back. Happily, it went away during the day, but it looked fairly deep for a bit.

I changed up my morning routine a bit today. I slept in. I didn’t get up until just before 9 and it was darn nice. I’m not sure if I’ll keep doing that, I probably shouldn’t, but I don’t get enough sleep as it is. That’s on me though.

I had a very quiet day. I didn’t get too much done, except I finally did start packing for this weekend. When I went down to make my lunch I offered K some soup too, so we had a bit of soup and some toast together. That was quite nice really.  She doesn’t talk much to me (or anyone these days), so I like to think it was nice for her to have company too. 

I made a few CDs today too, of the playlist I created a day or two ago. As I might give one to a friend with children, I made one copy without an NSFW song!  I had visions of her son singing the bad words in public—I’d never hear the end of it!

F came back to the house around 6:30 today. I didn’t make dinner, we didn’t have any food to make it from.  I suggested going out to Foodever. I wanted to check if the soba restaurant had done what he promised. It was closed tonight! Oh dear. I had my usual gapao rice and K and F both had things from the donburi place. K couldn’t eat what she had ordered as it was too hard, so she made F swap with her. He was made he didn’t order my gapao rice. I just laughed.  He could have.  Oh, we found out tonight that they have finished working on the parking exit roundabout. We don’t have to go out the way we came in anymore. Yay for that. 

There was a funny bit in Foodever when we got there. K had worn a warm coat and had zipped it up. Well, the zipper got stuck and she couldn’t get it off. She asked for help and F stepped up. He couldn’t get the zipper to work. I took over and it took about 3 seconds to fix it. Yay me! 

We brought K back to the house after dinner and waited a few minutes. We left a little later and went to the onsen. F took a bath and I, after a delay, got a chair and did some knitting and listened to a podcast. 

We drove back to the city and F wanted to get something for his breakfast. We went to MaxValu again and started shopping for things we shouldn’t. 

We came back to the house and relaxed. F was tired so went to bed after eating some of his midnight stuff. I watched a bit of telly and then took a bath. I wasn’t going to as it was after midnight, but decided I really should after all!

And now you are up to date. I’m not sure what I’ll get up to on Wednesday. Perhaps more packing and preparing for my big weekend. The weather is supposed to be rather awful, so I’m a bit worried as we have a few outdoorsy things to do.  Cross your fingers things go okay!
