Tuesday - Mostly clear and sunny, some rain
I slept in a bit this morning. I had a late night last night, so decided it would be just fine if I stayed in bed. And it was.
When I got up, I watched ER and then did a couple of loads of laundry. I also had to put the clean stuff away, so I was busy for a bit. Yay me.
All in all, I had a quiet day today. I did say hello to K but she didn’t hear me and didn’t see me either. I had a nice lunch around 2 and watched a bit of stuff off the DVR. With me being away so much over the last few days I have a big backlog of stuff to watch.
F got back to the house around 6:00 I think and he got to work on the nabe fairly soon. I helped him by setting the table and trying to stay out of his way. The nabe was good today, but he has a weird way of doing things. He put in so much haksai that there was no room for things like tofu…I suggested letting it all cook down for a bit and adding things later. He decided to go for that so it was fine. We used a bought soup which was excellent, a sesame soy milk one. Yum.
After we finished, I cleared the table, F washed the dishes and I dried them. I knew he wanted to go to the onsen, so off we went.
It wasn’t too busy at the onsen, so I was able to get my seat, a bit away from the stinky man that always sits in the corner under the TV. I thought about knitting, but I decided to read my Journal and update my phone.
When F was done we sat for a while as he did stuff with his phone, then came back to Tsuruoka. He asked me if I wanted to go out for a coffee tonight, but I told him quite truthfully that I wouldn’t mind either way. I knew that he was quite tired. He begged off and we came back to the house.
We’ve had a quiet evening. I watched a bit of tonight’s TV and deleted it off the DVR. F has gone to bed and I should try to get there soon myself.
It’s not that I’m terribly tired, it’s that I feel I have nothing to look forward to for a while. I had worked quite hard on the Mini-con and it is over. Wah! It did seem to go well though and I’m looking forward to next year when someone else will have to organize it!
Come back later and see what I get up to. I will be cooking dinner, what else can I do to occupy myself?
Oh, one semi-interesting thing…today is the 19th anniversary of the first time I went out with F (and his mother!) We went to a concert in Sakata but had lunch and dinner together too.
