Monday - Warm and sunny, cloudy then torrential rain later on.
A pretty good day today. We both slept in and it was wonderful! I woke up just before 9 and watched ER from the bed. I got a nice snuggle at the time from someone too!
Finally, we got up. F made udon for his mother, I had my cereal. Around 1:30 or so we decided that we’d go out for lunch and probably see a movie later too. We took K out with us to Kintaro Sushi and had a yummy lunch. We brought her back to the house and then went out and ran a few errands. We got a bento for K for later and then delivered it and some regular groceries too to the house. Then, F and I went off to see Avengers: Endgame again. I hadn’t had any caffeine today so I was able to watch through the whole movie without running to the washroom again. Woot! It was great.
After the movie, it was raining torrentially, and neither of us had brought our umbrellas. F ran to the car and brought it as close as he could to the door for me and I quick-walked to the car. I was quite wet.
We went to a hardware store as F wanted to get something. I’m still not sure what he wanted. We spent a bit of time there and then went to the drugstore nearby. Spent a bit of money there too and then decided what to do about dinner.
I didn’t want to go to the usual places and F couldn’t have as many things as usual so we ended up at a Korean restaurant/izakaya near F’s house. We had a lovely meal. We really ordered too much food, but it was great. F and I had bibinba and chapchae and a chichimi too.
We came back to the house and tried to get into the going-back-to-work-tomorrow mode. I set up the plastic garbage for going out, F got his clothes ready, I think.
And that’s about it. Golden Week was as it often is for the two of us, a mixed bag. The beginning was good, the middle rotten and the ending really good. Now back to my usual days of being alone with my computer and my mother-in-law. Oh yay.
