Saturday - Cloudy and rainy early on, sunny and warm in the evening

I was woken up this morning around 6 am when F turned on the light in the bedroom.  Now, he didn’t give me any warning last night that this was going to happen so I wasn’t best pleased. I stormed off downstairs to use the loo and then came back and eventually went back to bed.  Later on, I had words with him about the early awakening and asked him to let me know if he had to get up early the next day. I think that’s not too much to ask really, is it? I was told I wasn’t human for not getting up at a “reasonable” time.  In what universe is getting up at 6:30 for no reason on a non-workday reasonable?  F had his community service stuff, which I really don’t think had to be done that early, it is just he was being a jerk.

I basically didn’t talk to him for a few hours. I finally got up around 9:30, but was so tired. I don’t do well with broken bits of sleep. 

We went to the doctor’s office today and it was the usual jungle there. I did take “The Break” by Marian Keyes with me and got a good chunk of it read. Of course, we got in to see the doctor when I was at a really good point!

After all of the doctoring and getting medicine bits were done, we decided to go and have lunch. I asked if we should take K along, but F said no. Okay then. I suggested a couple of places that we hadn’t gone for a while and F liked one of them. We ended up at the Daiichi Hotel. We were going to go to the place upstairs, but it was closed or booked. Instead, we went downstairs to Monami and both had the same thing, a chicken fricassee.  I had bread with mine, F had rice and we had different drinks.  The food was good and F didn’t spend all of his time on his phone, so that was good.  When we left I showed my point card and we not only got points for our meal but a 10% discount so that was even better!

F had said over lunch that he’d like to go fishing today. I said it was fine as long as we could still go to the movie tonight. He prepared all of the stuff and I changed my clothes. We went out to a place near Yunohama I think and fished for a while. We had zero luck and didn’t catch anything. I wasn’t too upset really!

F called it quits around 5:30, so we went back to the house via the grocery store and I changed again. We gave K the bento we bought her.  She’d already gone to bed I think, it was barely 6:30 pm!

F and I left for the mall and bought our tickets. We ordered bibinba for dinner and it was nice. We both had the same kind (I’m not sure why F always orders the same as me…bit weird that.) We ate, spent a few minutes looking at a shop and a bookstore, then went to see Aladdin.  I really liked it, which surprised me a lot. I don’t really like Guy Ritchie’s films and I wasn’t a huge fan of the first film as I had an unexplainable dislike of Robin Williams. 

We drove back to Tsuruoka and came back to the house via a quick conbini run for ice cream. At the house, F went to bed fairly soon and of course, I’m still up. 

I’m not sure what tomorrow will bring. We have all sorts of options, but no idea if anything interesting will happen.  Come back later and see what happens. Until tomorrow….
