Tuesday - Cloudy then clearing

I woke up this morning to an empty room and a quiet house. K had slept in and F had already gone to work. I watched the news and then half-napped until my 9 am alarm. I watched a bit of TV and as it was almost 10, got ready to go downstairs with a load of laundry. As I opened the door and started out with my laundry basket, I heard the washing machine start to do its thing. K was doing laundry. Luckily for me, she only did one load so when she was finished, I did a couple of my stuff. 

In the afternoon I watched some of the DVR stuff including an Agatha Christie adaptation and Bake-Off’s Master Class.  I didn’t do as much as I planned or hoped to do.

Around 4 pm I went downstairs and washed my dishes. After that, I prepared a cucumber-yogurt salad and put it in the fridge. When I finished that, I washed and looked over some blueberries for dinner.

When F came, later on, we had tandoori pork, the cucumber-yogurt salad, plus salad and yesterday’s leftovers of broccoli and beets. Most of the food disappeared. K is pretty game to try things, I must say.  She tries things and usually likes them!

During the day, F had received a delivery but no one signed for it so they didn’t actually leave the package. I didn’t know that the postal worker had been by.  F went off to the post office to pick up his box, I got stuck into the dishes. 

It took ages tonight as I had to keep drying the dishes so I could add more to the dish drainer. We have a very small one.  F had earlier washed the frypan but it needed re-doing because he hadn’t got all the mess off the inside of the frypan.

I was rather displeased with F because it has been another week of me washing and drying the dishes and putting them away all by myself. I’m not sure what has got into him about the topic.

We did go out after dinner, but not a big deal. We had an iced coffee (me, decaf) or dark Mocha chocolate chip frappucino (F).  I did manage to get us out before the hour was up!

We bought a few groceries at the store tonight too. We came back to the house and relaxed for a while. I was on my computer, F took a shower and then relaxed a bit more.

That is really about all for my day. It was super quiet but now I’m thinking about what I should do tomorrow. The problem is that there isn’t enough time in the day to do all that I want to do.
