HAPPY CANADA DAY!  Monday - Cloudy but not rainy

I woke up with a start this morning. I was in the midst of a dream when my alarm went off and I hadn’t heard F leave at all.  It was a tad confusing. 

I got up, then went back to bed for a snooze and a bit of news watching. I rather enjoyed watching the news. I got up and watched Bones which is fine but it isn’t ER. 

I had a very quiet day today. I saw K in the morning when she handed me 3 postcards that I received. I had to register them, but I put it off for ages. 

Today was rather humid and I felt really hot all day. It’s been cooler this year than it was last year, but I can’t help wondering if we’re going to have super hot temperatures later on. I hope not.

Around 4 pm I went downstairs and did my dishes from lunch. I also washed a few blueberries and set up some hibiscus tea to brew.  I went back upstairs to wait for F to come back.

He arrived around 6:30 I think and we started doing dinner prep.  The fish sets that we had bought yesterday had fish and vegetables in them, we just had to microwave them, but the containers were a bit big for our microwave-the food wouldn’t turn around. 

I had done some broccoli before this and I sliced up a packet of beets from Costco. We had salad from the store, fish, veggies, miso soup all round, and F and K had rice too.  Dinner was good.  F had brought us some ice cream so we had that with the blueberries and it was yummy!

F washed the dishes.  I’m rolling my eyes, too bad you can’t see me do it. He didn’t use hot water for ages and didn’t wash one of the plates properly. I, in turn, didn’t notice and dried it so got greasy whatever all over my nice white tea towel. I wasn’t impressed.

F asked me if I’d like to go out after dinner and I said I would. I asked that we go to a drugstore.  We did that after a few minutes.  We got a few things at the drugstore then F asked if I’d like to go for coffee. I should have said no, but didn’t. 

We went to Komeda Coffee again, and again were the last ones in the place beside the staff. F watched videos, I Facebooked and then looked up a few things while I was waiting for him to finish.

We got a few things at the grocery store and I’m going to cook dinner here tomorrow night. I wasn’t sure if I should, but I probably should take advantage of the cooler weather and save my free nights out for days when I can’t bear to cook. We’re going to have tandoori flavoured pork, cucumber yogurt salad and regular salad. I’m hoping I remember to make the salad early enough!

We came back to the house around 11:20 and I took my shower first. I was tired of waiting for F. He took his quite a bit later.  

And that’s it.  It’s been a quiet day. I didn’t get much done that needed doing, I have to try and get a few things done tomorrow.  Come back later and see if I do manage that! Until tomorrow….
