Friday - Hot and sunny

Today was a pretty good day. I’m not going to go into as much detail as I usually do since it is late and I’d like to get to sleep soon.

I did a load of laundry in the morning, hung it up in my room, and folded up the now dry laundry from last time.

I managed to get almost all of my DVR’d shows watched so I have enough disc space for the weekend. Whew!

I burned my lunch today. I was having a meat pie from the grocery store (they’re from NZ and good!), so I needed to heat it up. I microwaved it and was supposed to bake it in the toaster oven. I did and when I looked up, the top was black. Still tasted good, but I didn’t eat the black bits.

A few days ago I noticed that F had a tangle of socks downstairs. They were mostly black socks waiting to be paired.  I brought a huge bag of them upstairs and sorted them. I threw a whack of them out as they were holey or very worn.  Later on, I discovered there were even more downstairs hidden in a drawer!! Ack.
An amorphous conglomerate of socks!

For dinner tonight we went out to F’s favourite fish place, Okazaki. It was good. I’m glad he chose that place as he first wanted to go to another place, but I said I didn’t want to go as I don’t like it. They are sexist and I don’t want to support them with my money. (or my husband’s!)  We took K with us and she seemed to enjoy it.

We came back to the house after dinner and F wanted to go to the onsen.  We did for a while. I started a new shawl for myself. I’m re-using a pattern that I used years ago.  F wanted to stop somewhere on the way to the house, so I suggested a conbini. We got frozen drinks there, which the guy microwaved for us so they weren’t so frozen.  F was sad the drinks weren’t very cold after that….

We watched an episode of The Good Doctor and I crocheted a bit more. I watched a little more TV but F went to bed.  He’s snoring away now!

And that’s about it for my day. It was good if a bit hot.  I’m not sure what we’ll get up to tomorrow. Come on back if you will and see what happens. Until tomorrow….
