Sunday - Hot and Sunny of course
F slept in quite late this morning. I did get a start when I first woke up around 7 am though. The air conditioner was on and it was cold! I thought I’d forgotten to turn it off before bed last night, but F had turned it on this morning! I went back to sleep for a bit and woke up again a couple of hours later because I was too cold.
I got up just before 11, it took almost two more hours before F got up.
We all went out for lunch today to Udon-Ichi. It was a good choice as the food is good, but it took forever. At first, they couldn’t seat us, then when they did, it probably took 20 to 30 minutes for our food to appear. After our meal, we took K back to the house and then F asked me to go out again with him. He wanted coffee and wifi.
I suggested one place, F wanted another that I really didn’t want to go to today, so F took us to Starbucks. Only thing, it was so busy that we couldn’t get seats so we left and went to my first suggestion. It was a good one. F needed a plug to charge his phone. The place, Cafe Studio Cinq, had a plug and F was allowed to use it (he did ask). We spent a bit too long there if you ask me, but it was pleasant in the air-conditioned cafe.
We went back to the house and F did some of his community stuff that he’s been putting off for months. He’s blaming his mother for not doing it sooner, I think he just doesn’t want to take responsibility for it like usual.
When he finished, he took his mother out to visit her mother in the hospital nearby. They were gone for a bit and. I was horrified when my earthquake alarm on my phone went off. A few seconds later, there was an earthquake. We got off easy in Tsuruoka, it was only a 2 or 3 here, but over in Miyagi, I think it was a 5. F and K came back a few minutes later and didn’t even know there was an earthquake! They’d been in the car and didn’t feel it.
F wanted to go out for dinner so I suggested going to the Internet Cafe and eating there. He liked the idea at first, but somehow we changed it on the way to going for dinner first and then going! It wasn’t a bad idea. We had a decent dinner at Gusto and then went to the Internet Cafe and got massaging chairs for 3 hours.
I watched a little YouTube and a little TV. I did quite a bit of crochet. I did a bit on my doily and I also restarted my dishcloth and it is going much better now. I’ve never done a dishcloth so it’ll be interesting to see how it goes.
When our time was coming to an end, I roused F and got ready to leave. F waited until the last moment and then left. I shouldn’t complain, he pays for it, I don’t.
We came back to the house via a convenience store for a salad for me. We were supposed to go to a grocery store, but I just didn’t want to go tonight. I told F that I can’t cook tomorrow either unless he wants something like pasta, which he doesn’t anyway. Sigh.
That’s about it for me for tonight. I’m not sure what tomorrow will be like. Come back later and see how things are. Until tomorrow….
