Saturday - Cloudy and then a bit rainy
I woke up the first time in an empty room. F had gone off to his doctor. I fell asleep again, vaguely remember F coming back into the bed and only woke up when my 11am alarm went off. Yikes! I got up, went downstairs and then checked my computer and email, then went back to bed to chat with F. Well, he was YouTubing so didn’t chat and I fell asleep again! I woke up somewhere around 1 and suggested rather strongly to F that we go out for lunch. He came up with a place that I normally like but thought we could do a bit better today. I countered with Naa, the Farmer’s restaurant. That’s where we went.
We took K with us and we had a lovely meal F and I had the two entree meals and K had the one entree plus chawanmushi. We had coffee afterwards and then set off again. We visited the Farmer’s Market. I got some carrots, K picked up a few treats and flowers too. Then, we drove off. I suggested that we visit a big hundred yen shop and look for a glass like the one he broke last week. His mother often enjoys poking around the store. We went into the shopping centre. I got F to escort his mother around while I scouted out the glasses. Sad to say, they didn’t have anymore. Darn. K did buy herself some chestnuts so that was good for her.
We came back to the house, unpacked the groceries and then F and I went out again. We went to a coffee shop near City Hall and spent about an hour drinking our coffee. We also had a cream puff that was very nice.
When it was time to leave, we decided to check out another hundred yen shop and then pick up a few groceries before buying bentos for dinner. That’s basically what we did. We didn’t get much at the hundred yen shop, they didn’t have any more of the glasses that we have at the house. We picked up a couple of things to add on to dinner, plus some snack food, and then hit up Hotto Motto, the bento place.
We ordered bentos for the three of us and then came back to the house to eat. We had a pretty nice meal together. We cleaned up and then F and I were off again!
Tonight we went to see The Two Popes at the cinema. It was in a big theatre and it wasn’t crowded at all, so it didn’t seem too risky. The film was quite good. It was funny in places and had a few things to say. As a non-religious person, I really enjoyed it. F liked it too and he knows even less about Catholicism than I do!
We came back to the house and had a quiet evening in. F is snoozing a bit but has his computer out so I may have to make him turn off his light soon.
We have no idea what we’ll get up to tomorrow. I hope that it is a good thing though! Come back later if you like and see what we get up to. Until tomorrow….
