Friday - Clear in the morning, cloudy and rainy at night

I had another quiet day at the house. I did bump into K a little, but not that much really. I got another Postcrossing card today but didn’t send any. I did a load of laundry today, but no big deal really!

In the late afternoon, I went downstairs and did my day’s dishes, plus most of F’s cups. I started dinner then too.  I got out the frozen shrimp packs and started to thaw them, then I made some guacamole. The thing was, only one of the two avocados was good. One was really nasty inside, and the other one wasn’t completely ripe. I was quite disappointed.

F came back to the house while I was putting things together. I had asked him to bring a baguette or a loaf of French bread, he’d found cheese bread by a French bakery.  I ended up slicing a couple of the little loaves and putting them on a plate. I cooked the shrimp mixtures and put them in bowls. Tonight’s dinner was a bit “tapas-y”. We had a bit of salad, some shrimp ajillo, some chips and guacamole and F had asked that I open a can of corned beef and serve that too.  I did. You know, everything turned out nicely and dinner was quite good!  Everything disappeared. Everything! F and I decided that if we use the frozen shrimp mix again, we’ll add some garlic to it, as that was one thing that we really missed. 

We did the dishes, which didn’t take that long, and went upstairs to change. Well, I did anyway!  We decided we’d go out for a drink and I suggested a few places then said Starbucks first. If it was busy we could go elsewhere, but if not, there.  I decided to have a hot drink and I saw a Sakura Tea Latte on the menu that looked good. F ordered the new Butterscotch Latte for himself.  Well, when he brought them over to our seats, we tasted each other’s drink. We ended up swapping them! I had the Butterscotch Latte, which wasn’t the smartest thing for me as late-night coffee and I don’t mix well. 

We came back to the house after ten pm. I took a shower fairly soon afterwards and after midnight, F gave me my White Day Present. He’d bought me a roll cake a couple of days ago, and hadn’t kept it in the fridge. I wasn’t too impressed with that! We did have a couple of pieces each and it did taste okay. Fingers crossed it is. I put it in the fridge after we finished. 

I finished the evening with a little more TV and some computer time. F seems to have fallen asleep, I hope he gets a good night.

I’m not sure what we’ll do tomorrow. F wants to go to his back doctor tomorrow, and I’m thinking a movie or two might be nice. We’ll have to see.  Come back later if you like and see what happens. Until tomorrow….
