Wednesday - Cloudy

I had a pretty good day today. As I was going to work today, I had to have an early breakfast, so I did. I had an early lunch too, but I sort of left it too late and had to skip my salad. No worries. 

I got all dressed up and then went downstairs to wait for the taxi. I opened the door and I saw it parked on the other side of the garage. I went out and went off to work. And that’s about all I can say about it. I think things went well, and I enjoyed teaching the students, so all in all a good day. 

After my classes, I caught another taxi and came back to the house. I did say that I was back a couple of times in loud Japanese for K, but there was no response. I don’t know if she heard me.

I went upstairs to relax and watch the news. F had Facetimed me in the morning to tell me that he’d be late tonight. He wouldn’t finish until 8:00pm or so. I told him I’d probably cook early and then have dinner with his mother.

I went downstairs around 6 pm and started to get things ready. I prepared the last of the Brussel Sprouts, I fried the chicken and I made some miso soup up for us.  I was just about finished putting things on the table when F called to say he was done and was coming back soon!  Ack. I would have waited if I had known he’d be that early. Oh well. K and I ate, and then F came back just after we mostly finished. K kept eating the Brussel Sprouts, I was worried there wouldn’t be any for F!

F had some of the chicken and everything else. I think he liked it, but unfortunately, some of the chicken wasn’t quite cooked so I took it back to the kitchen and microwaved it. Sigh.  I hate it when that happens. I really tried. I couldn’t get my meat thermometer to work fast enough. Maybe it needs a new battery again?  Hmm.  Maybe.

We did the dishes, it didn’t take that long, and then came upstairs. F didn’t want to go out again, but since I’d been out already today, I didn’t mind. The house may actually be the safest place for us anyway, away from the virus!

I watched a bit of telly tonight. Predators, my favourite of the Predator films was on tonight, so I watched it. Love me some Adrien Brody. 

And that’s it. I did receive a great Postcrossing today from a woman in Japan. She sent me three Gotochi cards, and didn’t even write on them! She included a letter in her envelope though, it was very nice. 

Tomorrow I have to work on lesson prep and I’m also going to cook dinner again. F will be late, so I’ll likely be stuck in the house again. I think the weather will be bad, so that’s not an awful thing really.
