Thursday - Windy like Kansas, rainy and hail-y too.  Quite a mixture

I had a reasonable day today. I got up, watched the news and then did a load of laundry before grabbing my breakfast. I hung up the new stuff and put away the old, dry stuff, so that was good. After that, I got stuck in preparing classes for Monday. I did one for tomorrow too, so was a little busy. Nothing too bad, just mentally taxing. After Monday I will mostly be teaching once a week to the same students, so I’ll get into a rhythm. Right now, I’m teaching many different texts and students and I don’t want to let my friend down by doing a bad job. 

Anyway. I got a Postcrossing today. K stood and the bottom of the stairs and called me until I came down for it. I appreciate it, but do wish that she’d just say my name a few times and leave the card on the stairs for me to grab later! Oh well, she means well I think. 

When I finished lesson prep I took a break to watch the US News. It’s the only one I get in the afternoon. I’d rather watch the BBC or CBC, but PBS is actually quite good. 

I was hoping to stay upstairs a little late today as I knew F would be late tonight. However, he called at 5:30 and said that he was finished and would be back soon!  Ack. My friend had also just texted me to say that she would be over soon to deliver the textbook that I need for tomorrow. 

Oh well. I sprang into action.  I went down to the kitchen and started to get ready. I didn’t want to get into anything too messy before my friend arrived, but I decided on what I was going to cook and started to get everything out. 

She came, I got my book and we had a brief, brief chat and then she was off again.

Tonight for dinner I made tandoori chicken in the toaster oven, anchovy potatoes, and frozen veggies cooked. Dinner actually went over quite well. I had to make more frozen veggies as we ate them all and everyone was looking for more.  

F gave me a hand with the dishes and then we went upstairs afterwards. He wasn’t feeling that great, his stomach again, and didn’t want to go out. Sigh. Oh well, I have to remember that not going out is safer right now and definitely cheaper right?  I did put him on notice again that I will not be cooking tomorrow night as I’ll be at work until 5:30 so I won’t be back until after 6 pm, most likely.

We spent a quiet night in. I watched telly and then took a shower.  I watched more stuff after that too. 

That’s about it. Tomorrow I’ll have 3 classes. It was originally supposed to be more, but some were cancelled due to the virus that’s going around.
