Tuesday - Sunny but cool

I did set my alarms last night, so I first got up at a reasonable time. I turned on the heater, on the water pot and then I got back into bed to watch the news that I had recorded earlier. I ended up watching the original Sabrina later on with Humphrey Bogart and Audrey Hepburn. That was rather fun, but I think I fell asleep in the middle.

I had quite a boring day today. I didn’t go out and I didn’t have to cook dinner as it was leftovers from yesterday. What I did do was make up some melon jelly from a packet for dessert today. I also used some soda water to make up some of the vinegar drink for us at dinner. I rather like it.

F called around 5:40, I went downstairs and heated up the curry. I also got out the plates for dinner and made the kitchen ready. I had asked F to bring a salad for dinner tonight and one for my lunch tomorrow, he ended up bringing two big salads instead. I think we’ll have the second salad for dinner tomorrow. Tonight I had naan with my curry, naan that I baked from the freezer. I overheated it, which was a bit of a shame. It got hard quickly. 

Dinner was quite good and I think everyone was full. They liked the dessert. There are a few leftovers for tomorrow, I’ll have to try and give K some for her lunch if she’s around.

Unfortunately, F became quite ill after dinner. His stomach is acting up again, it often happens at this time of year. He came upstairs to bed and has spent most of the evening in bed, but not sleeping.

I watched a silly, bad movie on WOWOW tonight, The Faculty. I think I had rented it when I first came to Japan. It was quite funny to see the clunky computers in the show, and Elijah Woods in his pre-Frodo days.  There were a few other interesting people in the movie, I enjoyed it in a flashback kind of way!

I didn’t really do a whole lot today. It was a quiet day all round. I didn’t go out, that’s the second day of that. I know, that’s what I’m supposed to be doing, but it is hard.  If the mood strikes me tomorrow I might go outside and fix up my bike. If it is early enough, I might actually go somewhere on it! That would be exciting I think!
