Sunday - Rainy and a bit cold

I did get to bed a little earlier last night than on Friday night. I was trying to be quiet but it turned out that F was up too watching stuff on his computer. Even after I went to bed, he was watching things and then this morning when I woke up he was watching stuff again. Does he ever sleep?

We both slept in/stayed in bed very late. I finally roused myself around 1 pm and decided to “do lunch” for everyone. I went downstairs and heated up the gyoza we bought on Saturday, washed the rest of the salad, and heated up my quiche as well.  When I finally got everyone downstairs and in the living room, we ate lunch. The quiche disappeared, but it was yummy!  In fact, everything disappeared, so that was good!

F helped me with the dishes and then we went back upstairs for more relaxing. I think F might have snoozed a bit, I was on my computer writing a bit of email and doing some gaming.

Around 5:30 F started talking about dinner. He suggested his friend’s sushi delivery and I was fine with that. However, the website didn’t let us order, it was too late. I suggested phoning the shop and asking! I said we could always go and pick it up if they made it. That’s about what we did.

F and I ran a few errands while we were out. We went to Yamaya to pick up a few things. They didn’t have a lot of what I wanted. I wanted more cheese and more pasta sauce, but most of their cheese was gone. I got some but also asked F if he wanted to pick a cheese for us. He got a camembert with garlic and something in it. He suggested blue cheese first but I know he doesn’t like it and I would probably make a pizza out of it, so….

We hit up a drugstore next for our dishwashing liquids. Yes, liquids!  I use one that is gentle on my hands since I have dry skin, F uses one that supposedly kills germs or something. After our visit to the drugstore, it was off to the grocery store.

We got groceries for a couple of days worth of food. Combined with what we have already in the house, we could eat for a few days if we had to without going out.

We ended our shopping trip by picking up the sushi and bringing it back to the house. We’d told K we were going to pick up dinner, but all the lights were off so she mustn’t have understood. We got the groceries unpacked and the table set quickly. F did most of the dinner stuff, I did a lot of the unpacking. Dinner was really good. We had tuna donburi and it was nice. We’d bought our own chawanmushi and had some soup from the sushi place, so dinner was nice.

I was again gifted with the dishes. I’m glad that there weren’t too many, but really getting annoyed that F isn’t showing up to help.

I came upstairs afterwards and we had a relaxing time of it. I spent time watching videos and then I took a shower. Exciting times!

Tomorrow, F is back to work and I’m back to my usual schedule I hope. I don’t really want to sleep in as much during the week as I do on weekends however.

Some of the local businesses will begin to reopen from tomorrow. I’m not sure how I feel about it. Hubby’s favourite onsen will reopen too, but they will restrict the number of people that can go into the onsen at one time. I’ll probably stay at the house for at least his first few trips as I doubt they’ll want people just hanging around their lobby.

There haven’t been many cases of Covid19 in this prefecture, we are still supposedly under 100, but have they really been testing people? I’m not sure!

Come back later if you like and read all about my Monday. Until tomorrow….
