Saturday - Sunny, but a little muggy
I woke up early enough, but then went back for more sleep. I had stayed up until it was light outside and slept in late after that. It was Friday night and Wolverine was on!
One of the times I woke up, F offered to give me toast and coffee, but I didn’t want it then. I slept a bit later.
Finally, I got up and then F wanted to go off to a lovely coffee shop in the mountains. While I like the place, I was quite sure that the coffee shop would be closed. I suggested that F call them, but he said he just wanted to drive there. Okay then. I asked that we go to a conbini to get sandwiches, but F said we’d go to a restaurant. Because F took so long to get ready, I made myself a piece of toast with cheese downstairs, then F had one too. I didn’t need to go to a convenience store after all, but was looking forward to a late lunch.
We drove off to the cafe. It was a lovely drive and we saw a lot of herons, rice fields being planted and finally the cafe near Mt. Chokai. Of course, the cafe was closed! We left the area and then tried to find a bakery that F likes. It was closed too.
In fact, every place that we tried to go to was closed! It was quite comical. We went to Aeon Mall in Mikawa to look and see if things were open or if we could get something for dinner there and we left open-handed. The Aeon was open, the mall wasn’t. Sigh.
We came back to Tsuruoka and F took me to a fish restaurant. Oh, joy. Worse than that, a fish restaurant that I didn’t like. We each had donburi and it was okay. I had salmon, both cooked and raw, with salmon eggs, F had a mixture of stuff. They were okay, but I really don’t like that place!
We went to the grocery store and picked up some stuff for dinner. I got myself a piece of cooked chicken, F got sushi for himself and his mother. It was expensive stuff, but on for half price!
We both picked up a few things and then we came back to the house. Once here, I washed some lettuce as I said I would then I came upstairs. I didn’t want to eat right then. I was still full from my “lunch”. Surprisingly, F was okay with that. He ate with his mother and then came upstairs and went to bed.
I had dinner a little after 9 pm and it was nice. I had some salad and my chicken, with a piece of toast. It was nice and just what I wanted!
I watched a little TV. F stayed in bed for a while, but around midnight got up. We’ve chatted a bit, and I’ve just helped him with his computer a tad. It’s been nice and friendly.
No idea what we’ll get up to tomorrow. I hope that it’ll be okay. It’s Mother’s Day so I hope we’ll do something nice for K. It depends on how F feels!
