Saturday - Sunny and warm

We all slept in today. It was rather nice. I got up early to make a trip downstairs and then went back to sleep.  I slept through my alarms as well. Oh, dear.

I finally got up in the afternoon. F was eating with his mother. He offered me toast later on, but I turned him down and I had cereal instead. Much better for me!

We had a quiet, stay at the house day for the most part. Around 4:30 I suggested we think about dinner, but it wasn’t until 5:30 or so that F actually did anything about it. He suggested a bento shop…which is what we did go with. I had checked on a local restaurant’s take out, only to find that they closed the whole place at 5 pm. So early!

We did a little shopping at Gyomu Supa before picking up the bentos and the freezers were nearly empty. I’m still looking for some frozen tortillas, but they didn’t have anything in the bread section. Sigh.

We came back to the house with the bentos. I wanted to get the food on the table right away as F’s mother was probably hungry. Still, he insisted on translating a paper that had been put in the mail slot. It was about the stimulus money that we’re all supposed to get, but then wasn’t the time. He got all huffy with me and said he wouldn’t send for it. Honestly, just give me a 2-second recap and talk to me about it later.

We ate, the bentos were fine and then, as usual, I got gifted the dishes. K likes to treat me as her personal skivvy. I had just finished when she brought in F’s drink glass. I told her to put it by the sink and that’s where I left it. I was finished. 

I came upstairs. We were both pretty quiet for most of the night. I watched a little telly later on, but no big deal. I finished a book while I was lying on the bed, something I don’t often do when I’m reading. 

Things are okay I think. We actually haven’t had the heater on for the last two days. It was so hot today that we opened both windows in the room. 

I have no idea what we’ll get up to tomorrow. Probably more stay at home stuff, since that is what we’re supposed to do after all!
