Tuesday - Hot and sunny

I got up on time this morning. I’d slept really well for a change. I woke up early but was able to just go back to sleep. Woot.

I got up, watched the news, dressed, and went and grabbed my breakfast. I ate it while I watched Blade. WOWOW had the Blade Trilogy on today and I watched it all. I did miss a few minutes from the first film,  but I got all of the rest. It was okay. I think I’ve seen them before, but not all the way through for years.

I didn’t do any of my mask-making, but I did write a couple of postcards and got them ready to go out. Yay me. 

I went downstairs after 5:30 to get started on dinner. It wasn’t a complicated one tonight, so I just decided to get on with it. F just showed up tonight, he didn’t call me like he usually does. It was fine though. 

I made a fish stir-fry from the store. It was in the freezer section and worked well. The hardest thing was defrosting it!  I served it with the leftover mushrooms and some beets, plus a salad. I also gave us all miso soup and F and K got rice. I had a baked potato with cheese on it. I somehow feel I got the best part of that deal! I even gave us dessert too. We split a Costco chocolate chip muffin three ways and put a little ice cream on it.  It was nice! 

F gave me a hand with the dishes and we were done really quickly. We came upstairs for a few minutes. I made up a shopping list and then we popped out to the store.

I got a few necessaries and some stuff for dinner tomorrow night. I’m going to be doing chicken, but I want to look up a recipe for it so it is different. I just don’t want to bake it as it’s going to be a hot day tomorrow. The forecast is for 35 degrees or so. Yikes.

We came back to the house and F was tired so he went to bed quite soon. I watched quite a bit of TV tonight. I rather enjoyed it. There aren’t many nights on our cable channel where we get more than one English programme, so it really was good to chill out tonight with it.

And that’s about it. It was a fairly good day today. I’m not sure what I’ll get up to tomorrow. I’m hoping that inspiration will hit me for dinner and everything will go well. Come back later and find out if I am happy or disappointed! Until tomorrow….
