Tuesday - Hot and humid and sticky. Bleck.
I woke up this morning with my alarm but sad to say I didn’t exactly stay up! I went downstairs, then came back up and prepared the clothes I was planning to wear today. After that, I watched the news from the bed. When it was over I took a short nap. And then another one. I did drag myself up before 10 so not too bad I think!
I grabbed my breakfast and ate, and I watched something off the DVR. I watched the first season of Fleabag. I liked it a lot. I knew there was something hidden going on with the character but wasn’t sure what it would be. The second season is on next week, so I’ll be sure to DVR it. I haven’t deleted it yet, so I might even rewatch it before next week!
In the afternoon, I did a little bit of work on the mask for F. I’ve come to a bit of an impasse, so I’m not really sure what to do all of a sudden. I’ll work it out though. I’ve just been basting and trying different things, so I’m sure it’ll be fine in the end.
I went downstairs and started on dinner around 5:15 or so. I did my day’s dishes and then put together a sliced zucchini salad. I cooked some chicken in a spicy sauce and gathered my other ingredients for the quesadillas I was making. When F came back to the house, I was able to get going on making them. It did take a while because I was trying to set the table too, but eventually, we had a very yummy dinner of chicken and black olive quesadillas plus tuna quesadillas too. We had regular salad, plus the zucchini one, and some tortilla chips and salsa. Just about everything that I put on the table was eaten! There was a little leftover filling which I packaged up and told K that it was okay to eat them for her lunch tomorrow.
I did the dishes as usual. F disappeared from the table at the end of dinner. He went upstairs and didn’t come back. Hmm. By the time I finished, I was soaking from the humidity and the amount of sweat that came from me. It was a bad one today.
I went upstairs and closed my door to his part of the room. I didn’t want to talk to him for a while, so didn’t! Eventually, I calmed down and reminded him that we had to get a few supplies.
We went to the grocery store, and even though I hinted about getting a drink, he ignored me. Sigh. He did volunteer to cook tomorrow night, so that will be nice! Unfortunately, it’s going to be hiyashi chuuka, so cold noodles, but I don’t have to do it. Do you think I should run off at the end of dinner and not come back to help? I’m sorely tempted!
I had a fun evening tonight. I watched the opener of Season Three of Killing Eve. It was good but odd. I hope the suspense keeps building. I’m wondering what is going to happen!
And that was about it for my day. I did go and wish hubby a happy Tanabata earlier and I think he liked that. Nights like this can be hard for us to actually connect. Well, that and because YouTube does its evil work!
Come back later if you like and see what happens. Until tomorrow….

Ah! Husbands and dishes! It's never ending. I end up doing the dishes most of the time in our house too, although our deal is that if you cook, then you don't have to do dish duty. Sometimes it's just easier to get on with it and do it, however unfair it is! Sigh.
I am still amazed that you are hand sewing your masks. I don't know how you have the patience for that. I guess with a sewing machine, you would still make mistakes, but at least they would be faster. lol.
Have a great rest of your week!
That was always our deal too, which is why I'm so upset that it has changed without any discussion! If he'd even show up for a few minutes or ask if I needed help, it would be so much nicer.
I don't really have a choice with the masks. I don't have a sewing machine here. My MIL has one, but I am not going to ask if I could use it! See tonight's update for more info about mistakes! Bah humbug!!
Thanks:-) I'll try!
