Monday - Rainy and oh so humid

I woke up when my alarm went off this morning and I got up too. I never did go back to bed! I went on my computer early on to start a posting day on my women’s group. From there, I watched some TV from the DVR and live too. I didn’t go down to get breakfast until quite close to 11:00!  I also did a small load of laundry. Yay me.

I watched some TV and I caught up with a few things online.  I didn’t work on my mask today, and I didn’t do Postcrossing, but I did finish wrapping the box for my niece’s present. I also spent an age trying to register for the Post Office’s new system. I gave up on the computer and did it via my phone. Surprisingly, it worked! It took ages though, and for some reason, the wifi kept cutting out, so I’d try and send the information, but it wouldn’t go through. It was frustrating.

I went downstairs after 5:30 pm and got the fish out of the freezer. I put it in the fridge. I washed all of my dishes and then debated making a vegetable dish. I decided not to because I thought I’d get in the middle of something and then F would come back.

F called me to say he was on his way back a little bit after 6.  I reminded him that I needed to go to the post office.  He got back soonish after and we both got changed and then went to the main Post office.

F drove to the post office and took the scenic route! I was a bit upset because it was late and the post office closes at 7:00 pm.  When we got there, F went to the far parking lot as usual. It was busy, as usual, and he couldn’t park properly. He asked me to get out of the car, which I did. As it was raining, I told him that I would run in and get started on the system. I had to print out the label.

I finally found the printer and very easily printed the label. F joined me about then and I got into the line. The whole system worked rather well, but I hadn’t done it before, so it was rather interesting to see it through.

We paid (ouch) and the postal worker told us that the package might take quite a while because of Covid19.  I already knew that, but I appreciated him telling us.

We came back to the house, and I got busy on dinner. It was so hot and so humid, and I had my “going out” clothes on so I was too hot!

I defrosted the fish packets and found a way to serve tomatoes with some balsamic vinegar and olive oil. I plated everything and started putting things on the table. I bellowed for F and he came down. We had a pretty nice meal really.

I did all the dishes afterwards. Luckily there weren’t that many. F was feeling bad again, so I sent him off upstairs. When I got upstairs I found him wrapped in a blanket in bed. It was quite hot in the room so I was surprised. He has slept a little bit tonight but isn’t feeling well again.

I watched a little TV tonight and some stuff on YouTube. I took a shower too. It’s been a quiet night but not a bad one.

Tomorrow I am going to try making quesadillas for dinner and possibly a zucchini salad. I have a few things I’d like to get done, I hope some of them will magically get done!

Come back later if you will and see what happens. Until tomorrow….
