Saturday - Cloudy and rainy

Today was such a dull and boring day that I’m rather annoyed by the whole thing. I did go to bed very late last night and slept in quite late so that part was on me.

However, when F came back upstairs from making his mother some lunch he once again demanded that I tell him where I’d like to eat lunch. I asked where and what he’d like to eat. He said (and this is a quote)”Ramen because I never get to eat it anymore.” I pointed out that he’d had ramen for a late lunch yesterday afternoon and he’d had some cup ramen in our hotel room too.  Never gets to eat ramen? Makes me laugh.

I went downstairs and when I came back I said that I wanted to go to Pizza Hut Express in S-Mall. He could either join me or go to one of the two ramen shops in the mall. He wasn’t happy with my good solution but I didn’t care. I ended up having genovase pasta with grilled vegetables, a mini pizza and a salad and drink. He had ramen somewhere. I was just going to find him, when I saw him coming to find me.

He wanted to go back to his house right away. I had wanted to go shopping or have a nice drink but he wanted to go back to the house so he could lie on our bed and watch YouTube.

In the late part of the afternoon I watched Charlie’s Angels from 2002. It was worse than I remembered. I quite liked the actresses, I just thought the whole movie was rather dumb. I didn’t bother even trying to watch the second one. I have recorded the new one because I want to watch it, but didn’t see it tonight.

F went and got his mother a bento even though I suggested taking her out. Okay, probably safer for her. Then it was our turn. We came up with a list of not great places to go but had a basic comedy of errors when we went. One was too full, one’s parking lot was too full, and then we ended up at Udon-Ichi. I haven’t been in a while so it was fine with me. We both had something nice and then came straight back to F’s house.

A bit after 10 pm I started watching The Guernsey Literary & Potato Peel Pie Society.  It was wonderful. I loved the book when I read it last year and the movie was quite good too. They couldn’t put all of the book in of course, but they did quite a good job of the movie. I even cried at the end. F tried to interrupt me to give me junk food, but I wasn’t having any just then.

Today while I was babysitting F lying on his side of the bed, I wrote up 3 entries in my Postcrossing Blog and later tonight I did about 3 rows on my basket. It’s getting quite big. I think I shall have to finish it soon. Sigh. I’m enjoying this project a lot!

That’s about it for me for today. Tomorrow F is at work for a few hours so I shall be a lady of leisure at the house…or shall I? Come back later and find out what I get up to. Until tomorrow….
