Friday - Clear and sunny but cool

I woke up this morning before F left and went downstairs. I came back up, went back to bed and fell asleep. I woke up an hour later than usual. Yikes! I got up then and watched some of the news, went downstairs and got my breakfast too.

I had a quiet day really until around 3 pm. I went out today!  I needed to make a payment at the post office, so I pumped up my bike’s tires and took off for a while. I had planned to visit the post office first, then go for a coffee, but I ended up skipping the coffee. That was a bit sad. 

I did get a few things done though. I went to the hundred yen shop, then the grocery store. I had forgotten to pick up shredded cheese and salsa yesterday, so I got them. I also got some tea from the bargain bin. I hope it is okay!

When I came out of the grocery store I looked at the time and it was already 4:30. Yikes.  I didn’t have time for my coffee, so I hopped on my bike and went to the drugstore. I got a few things there and then came back to the house.

After a brief rest and a bit of a watch of the news, I went downstairs to start dinner.  Tonight I made tacos.  I made taco rice for K and F and I had tacos with tortillas.  It was really good tonight. K really seemed to enjoy it and I know I did. F liked it but didn’t eat as much as I did.

Of course, I got to do the dishes tonight.  For some reason, F put a bunch of dishes in the pan “for me” using his dishwashing liquid and his throw everything in the basin technique. Then, he didn’t do the dishes. I emptied out the basin when I did the dishes, put some hot water in the basin and got them all done. Sigh.

Later on, F and I did go out for a few minutes. We needed kerosene…yes, sad to say…it is time to start heating our rooms again. For some reason, I am really feeling the cold these days. 

We came back, F filled up the heater for me and then he went to bed. I stayed up a bit too late, showered and blogged and didn’t watch any TV tonight. 

That’s about it for me today. I have no idea what we’re going to do tomorrow. I would like to do some shopping. I’d like a nice case for my new phone and some adapters too. Wish me luck with that!
