Tuesday - Rainy and cold

I woke up this morning after F left and was rather surprised that it was already morning. There was almost no light in the room which meant that it was still dark outside. I could hear the rain too. Boo!

I went downstairs and then when I came back, put on the news and got back into bed. I watched the foreign news, or at least the stuff in English. I woke up at 10 and was a bit surprised and embarrassed that it was so late. I got dressed, made the bed and then grabbed my breakfast. I had a quiet morning. I caught up with my online stuff and then in the afternoon I finished doing the outlines on my tree bits. Yay me.

When I went downstairs to get my lunch I offered K the leftovers from yesterday. She said yes, so I heated them for her. After that, the doorbell rang. It was F’s aunt, with more persimmons and some flowers for K.  I tried to find K, but she wasn’t anywhere I could see! I seriously had to search for her. I found her finally in the living room, she must have gone into her bedroom for a minute!

Lunch was nice and then I watched something off the DVR.  At 4 I watched the news and at 5:30ish I went downstairs and started making dinner. Tonight I tried a Japanese dish, grilled eggplant with miso. It turned out okay, but I think I didn’t cook the eggplant for long enough. Next time maybe! I also did a Fish Stir-fry from a freezer pack, plus we had salad and some mushrooms too. Oh, and I put out instant mushroom soup. I liked it but F didn’t. K had already eaten something, so she wasn’t too hungry for a change, but still managed to eat quite a bit!

Surprise of surprises, F helped me by washing the dishes! He wasn’t a pain about it either, so that was good. I did miss listening to my podcasts though, but it was nice to get out of the cold kitchen faster.

We went out to the grocery store fairly soon after finishing the dishes. It was your basic boring trip to the store. I didn’t get a lot of stuff to be honest, but got something for tomorrow’s dinner and some salads and stuff.

We came back to the house and I tried sewing my tree together, but I decided that I did it wrong, so I want to take the sewing out and try it again. However, I didn’t have enough light to do it tonight, so I’ll look at it tomorrow. I also watched the new to-us-show Prodigal Son and it looks interesting. I like Michael Sheen, so will give it a bit of a chance. That was followed by The Handmaid’s Tale, which was interesting tonight.

And that’s about it for me. Tomorrow I have to cook dinner and I might work on my crochet OR I might do a Postcrossing since I haven’t done one in months. Come back later and find out what I end up doing. Until tomorrow….
